Good location, fairly good value

It is just an old apt complex with no thought of any significant improvement.

I really like the view and the value is pretty good and I like the location. I don't really think I could get too much better overall for the price.

these apts are made of cardboard and mgt does not do anything to control the noise level.

When I first moved to the Lakes in the Village, I was excited to live in the community. I had the opportunity to have an apartment with a reasonable rate. The only issue I had was the over-crowded parking lot due to trucks and large cars taking up multiple spaces since all the spots in our area are listed as compact.. After a year passed, we noticed that the staff have not been helpful when it comes to admin issues. The maintenance people, as well, were unable to fulfill all requests which require multiple visits. Recently, our neighbors below have been causing terrible disturbances that range from domestic abuse to teen drama. We communicated these issues to Smith and staff at the Lakes yet nothing has been resolved to our knowledge. Finally, we received a significant rate increase to our renewal and we tried to discuss this with the Lakes staff about meeting in the middle given the aformentioned issues, and yet we were denied. I don t see the lakes being able to continue to increase rent rates so exponentially and expect to have full occupancy at the rate they re going

I recommend the Village all the time. I tell people you won't be disappointed you at least once live here. That being said, over the past 2-3 years my friends have told me "I just can't find an affordable place". It seems like the Village used to have some good rent deals, but my friends say that's not true anymore. It's a shame. I like a diverse crowd (not all high wage earners).

I would strictly because it is on the lake and if you can get a Lakeview, the apartment is perfect location.

I love the location and the outdoor area is very well maintained. The gym at The Lakes is very convenient, as is the gym at the clubhouse. My vaulted ceilings and fireplace make this apartment feel like home.

I would have recommended it strongly when I first moved out here because of your fabulous maintenance program and because someone locally called to check to see if a request had been fulfilled to my satisfaction, but you no longer provide that service. This is not the fault of The Lakes, it's a decision made by Lincoln.

The traffic on Southwestern Blvd in the afternoon is so bad, sometimes I can't even get out onto the road - also the speed of the traffic is dangerous.
My apartment is not well insulated and so it is extremely cold in the winter and hot in the summer. From about April till November, the landscapers make too much noise early in the mornings.

I love the centrality of this community. Everything I want is about 1 mile away. Close to the train to go downtown. . . or even now to the airport.
