Apartment Review from a Current Renter

I had some conflicts with some noisy neighbors when I moved in, but the staff was able to relocate me and I absolutely love my new apartment!

Would: Amenities are nice: car wash, nice inside decor, valet trash, it's fairly quiet but people still interact with one another, in a great location, community activities, gated, etc.

I would only recommend this community to friends if they don't mind the airplane or parkway noise, not to mention the slightly pricey rent for what you
are getting your value's worth. Even though the entire place is pretty much well kept, the community is gargantually large for someone who wants cozy comfort and peace.

The dog owners are not responsible so the grounds crew needs to do more doggie doo pickup.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

As a real customer, I was excited during my visit. I thought that the community was very beautiful. Christopher was a very nice and professional gentleman. I would absolutely love to be a future resident and I really will keep this community in mind for the future when my lease is up!
Thank you for the awesome feedback! We agree that Christopher (as well as all of our team members) are an inportant asset to our team and help up reach our goal to Enhance Lives the CWS Way every day!

Not a good value

I did not like living at this complex.  The noise is terrible and the pest problem is unbelievable.  There are bees and wasps, but more importantly, raccoons.  They have "concierge" trash service which means your neighbors will put their trash out too early or too late and the raccoons will tear into it.    They are everywhere in the stairwell and are more than a little scary when you are trying to get to your door.

The front office staff is very rude and unhelpful.  They seem to be only concerned with enticing new renters, not servicing the existing tenants.

The traffic on Grapevine Mills Pkwy is terrible and makes it difficult to get in and out of the complex.
I am truly sorry that you have had a bad experience here at the Marquis at Silver Oaks. I would love to discuss any issues that you have and change your negative opinion about our community. Our main goal everyday is to make every resident happy and we strive to provide excellent customer service to each person that resides here. Please feel free to contact my office and I would be happy to sit down with you and come up with a resolution for the issues you are experiencing.

The apartment is on the small side. If you want piece and quite you can not live beneath anyone.

Two drawbacks are no ceiling fan in the living area and the lack of storage space if you don't have a garage. Also, the kitchen cabinets and drawers are inadequate, but I've learned to cope with it.

I would recommend. For apartment living, the experience is very positive.

Great Place to Live!!

My wife and I have lived here for over 2 years and have loved every minute of it. Wonderful staff, fast and friendly maintenance, and beautiful surroundings all make this the perfect community.

I would only recommend this place because the maintenance requests are handled quickly and the front office is usually responsive, but I don't think the monthly rent is worth the basic and outdated complex you're provided. Everything from the apartments, to the gym, to the clubhouse could use some updating.

Comfortable living

This is a great place to live.

Great Apartments!

I live in this complex the staff is amazing and friendly. They are very helpful with any and all my needs. The location has a monthly catered breakfast which is great and the location is close to the DFW airport.

Great Amenities, Quick Maintenance!

Great aparment complex. Friendly and fast service, great maintenance and new appliances. I moved in 5 months ago and have loved it. The garage is a nice add-on and their gym is fairly extensive.

Glad to live here!

I would just like to say that I love living at Marquis at Silver Oaks in Grapevine! I also searched in Irving and other complexes in the Grapevine area, but I kept coming back to Marquis at Silver Oaks. This was a tough decision for me because it was my first apartment living experience in the Dallas area.

Pros for me: The staff was very helpful when I initially toured. I've never had any issues with any staff members. I love the location of the complex in relation to both Dallas and Ft. Worth, the airport, the freeways, etc. For me, having the gated community was important. I realize that nowhere in life is totally safe, but for the most part I feel comfortable walking and moving about the complex at various times. Everyone here keeps to themselves and is fairly quiet. However, it is still a great community experience in that people have tailgate parties and pool parties from time to time. The apartment staff always hosts monthly events in the club house, we have food trucks that come sometimes and opportunities to meet neighbors. I enjoy that the complex has a car wash, a 24-hour fitness center. I enjoy the vaulted ceilings and just the overall look of the facility--it doesn't really say "apartment". I feel like I'm in a house when I'm inside. There are garages and covered parking for those who choose to have that option. Maintenance usually responds faster than I think they will. I'm glad there are two pools, tennis court, the walking trail, basketball court, etc. I would recommend that anyone move here.

Cons for me: (They are minor, but I'll still list them. The good outweighs the bad). My financial circumstances were slightly different at the time I was preparing to sign my lease so I had a bit of trouble with the online application process, but it was resolved via fax/email. I'm glad the complex allows for pets, I'd probably have a dog too if I had time for one, but some people still don't pick up their dog droppings and you just have to be careful where you're walking. Not to mention, the grass seems like it's watered several times a day and the lawn is cut high, so it holds water (annoying--landscaping looks fabulous, but I guess that's the cost of beauty). You just have to be careful where you step so you don't get muddy/wet. I had issues with Time Warner Cable provider's internet access, but it has sense been resolved. It wasn't really Marquis' fault, but I didn't like having them as my only option. There is another option, but not for me. Also, because we do live with so many seemingly responsible adults, most people come home early and parking spaces might be full in your area. It's definitely not like some complexes I go visit when they are TRULY out of space. There are still plenty of spaces options here, it's just that sometimes I don't like to walk far when it's late at night or I have a lot to carry--again, it's safe, I'm just usually in a hurry. Anyway, those are all very minor issues for me. I just get over it because everything else is exactly what I need. I'm so glad to call this place home!!
