I moved here about four months ago to be closer to work. The apartment is large and rather nice. I have had minimal interaction with the staff, however they have always been professional and helpful. I have requested two things be fixed, they were both taken care of next day. I rarely hear my neighbors, however there is road noise from Northwest highway. Because of the road noise I would recommend a unit in the southern end of the complex. Overall, I recommend the Dakota.

The community was clean and I liked the fact that it was a gated community. The landscaping was very neat and the amenities were superbly well looked after. The apartments were very well worth the money and were impressive looking.

The rent at The Dakota is approaching the levels of Uptown Dallas when the amenities, surroundings and neighbors are nowhere near the levels of Uptown. This complex has turned into a second home for SMU upperclassmen that are a little too full of themselves and aren't quite ready to be adults yet (I went to SMU as well). The management team is great until you sign the lease papers. After they have your signature, forget about them ever recognizing you or trying to help in anyway possible. I've reported to the front office several times about lights being out around parking areas, walkways and the steps to apartments and they don't seem to care despite claiming "safety is a priority". Submitting an online request seems to take an average of 1-2weeks to complete when it should only take one day, especially when safety is a priority. There's better in Dallas and I hope that this property understands that eventually and prices correctly.

I think the price for the location is too high. There are comparable ammenity properties in cooler locations for comparable prices. There is often trash in the landscape and dog owners do not pick up after their dogs.

This was a pleasant on-site visit, and the tour of the property was good. I enjoyed meeting the leasing professional.

Basically, I loved the community. It is very nice and affordable. The agent, however, was a little uncomfortable. I was rushed and saw the community so quickly. I really wish I could have looked a little closer because they have so much to offer.

It was very nice and I felt safe. However, I prefer wooden floors and moved to an apartment with them. If they had wooden floors, I would probably still be there.

I love The Dakota in The Village. The property is beautiful and always well maintained. There is such a sense of community here it is wonderful. Not to mention all the activities that come along with the Village Country Club. I think my favorite part of living here is how safe I feel. If I am running around The Village or walking to my car I always feel safe, that alone is priceless. I would recommend: The Dakota in The Village to everyone.

The common areas were all nicely manicured. The fitness center and the pool area seemed to be in immaculate condition, as well as the grounds. The amenities offered were pretty exquisite and not to mention the location of the community. The apartments were up to date and very modern.

Overall, it was a good visit. I was professionally greeted in a friendly manner with a smile and a handshake. I was asked several questions to determine my needs. I was told about the property, surrounding community and the management company. There was a sense of urgency created during the visit.

Although the apartment was very well appointed and the grounds well maintained, I felt the community was a bit overpriced. I would have expected the rate to be a bit lower. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to the community and would name it in a list of suggestions.
