-amenities, services and apartments are not comparable value to other apartments in the immediate area

The Reserve at Tysons Corner Management
I was a prospective renter at the Reserve, until I heard about the experience of friends who had lived/are currently there. While looking for an apartment myself, I stayed with one of my friends at the Reserve for a couple months. (I'm now at Avalon just a few minutes away.) I also heard the same things you mentioned, Sarah. High rents in exchange for unprofessional and unhelpful staff and disrespectful neighbors. My friends say the maintenance guys are very nice, but the leasing staff is a whole another story. With the exception of Natasha and Nate, everyone else was pretty unhelpful. They don't give serious attention to your calls. You have to repeatedly hound them to get a response. And when they respond, it's like, "Oh, that's not our fault. We've tried to fix the problem but can't because of xyz." When you're a resident at a supposedly luxury apartment, you are paying a lot of rent for the quality of life. That includes staff members who are honest, responsible, and attentive to your requests. That's not what I experienced while I was there. Unless you're willing to pay expensive rent for downgraded quality of life than what's advertised, plus some weird neighbors and snarky/snooty leasing agents, I wouldn't recommend this place. That's a strong impression to leave in just two months!!!

I have recommended it consistently.

Great apartment, not great front office

I have been living in the apartment complex for about a year and love the apartments. There is some noise from neighbors, but that is to be expected in apartment living. The one drawback is the front office - the service isn't great. The leasing agents are condescending and not always willing to work with you.

This community was in a good location. It was close to stores, shops and restaurants. It had an island in the kitchen. The bedrooms were big enough for a king size bed. They had a full size washer/dryer.

I would prefer an online survey, and I'd love to manage it! Maddie and Rosetta are wonderful. Soft close doors wold be excellent because when doors close now, they slam shut. Better parking-deck lighting. Later and/or earlier events would be better, D.C. commute is tough. This is a great community! Send emails about hours for lounge, services, shuttle, etc.

I am sstarting my fifth year here at The Reserve and I am very impressed with how well the community is run. I have experienced and observed that the employees take their jobs very seriouly and provide top notch customer service at all times. The visitor parking was a challenge at one point but has improved tremendously since I moved in. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone searching for an apartment. Personally, I am so please to be living here!

Maintenance crew is awesome, same day service always! Concierge is also great!

Working in the medical profession, I do not have normal working hours and therefore am not able to access coffee machine at 6:00. Is there any way we could "fob" into the lounge earlier in the a.m. in order to use this amenity? Overall, highly satisfied! 2 disadvantages: coffee and noise from neighbors!

Make the garage doors work better in the Tannin building.

The upkeep and maintenance of this property is great. I feel safe, clean, and appreciated. Please continue doing what you're currently doing. The only problem I see thus far is the smell of the entrance from garage to building. The trash chute in between them as strong, bad odor, but that's a given. My suggestion is to have fresheners in that hallway. Other than that, great place to live.

Remind residents to: place trash bags in the chute, not just in the room, place trash in a receptacle and not in the hallways/stairways/elevators/garage, place trash in receptables outside and not on the ground. More education and reminding residents of quuiet hours, door slamming, loud music, running in halls, and general respect for neighbors.

I think they do a great job at RSV at Tysons. The staff is friendly and very responsive. Rosetta at the front desk is great! The trash room often smells and people leave a lot of trash and is often messy on the weekends. I would like to see grill available in 3 hour blocks, as 2 hours is not enough to cook, eat, and clean up. I don't like that they changed the pet policy for the 3rd and 4th floors. My pet passed away but now I cannot get another one unless I move.
That's HORRIBLE! This is certainly going to make me think twice about coming here. With pet rent and extra deposits they should not be limited to certain floors. Not all places allow dogs. If someone has a fear that strong they should look elsewhere. That is unacceptable. Be pet friendly or not.

Great place. Love Keeri, love Michele (very nice,) and Nate is also very helpful.

I have enjoyed living in this community. Whenever I have had any maintenance problems, they have been addressed almost immediately. However, there are a lot of issues with sound traveling in this community and within/between apartments. I'm not sure how this can be fixed now that the property is built. One other suggestion is to have water/trash included in rent rather than having to pay a 3rd party which I tend to forget to send a check to.
