Reviews

We like it here.

It's quiet and close to everything we need. We wish we had a balcony like every other apartment, and like we were told we would, but that's our only complaint.

Nice urban style apartment

Apartment placement in the Shops at Legacy area is good. Quite some good benefits for the residents, that this apartment can offer. May need to improve on more quicker maintenance service

Great Location, Poor Quality

The noise from other apartments is horrible. I hear every footstep the person above me takes and my ceiling constantly loudly squeezes from the wood floors causing echoing through my apartment. The garbage disposal does not work half the time and constantly backs up the sink requiring me to bail water to the other side and prevent overflowing. Have had to submit several work orders to unclog sink. An entire wall of power outlets has stopped working.

When I moved in I rented a washer and dryer from the complex but the one that was delivered was filthy and looked in bad shape requiring me to send it back and having to purchase my own. Was also told that a side by side washer dryer would not fit in the space for them in the closet but the real issue was that the closet didn't have enough electrical outlets for a washer and dryer.

There is constantly trash left around the apartment complex and in the elevators, often for days before it gets picked up.

When I come home late at night I'll often have to park two floors above my unit on the roof uncovered even though there are dozens of reserved parking spots open that nobody is using and don't have reserved.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

The property was very nice and clean. The upgrades in the apartment were very nice and the location and amenities discussed were very impressive.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

These apartments are very updated and the property is well maintained. The layout and appliances are impressive. I would definitely need a little more storage space, otherwise it is great.

Nice looking apartments, but noise level is high

I like the living area and the kitchen. However the bedroom has no windows. It kind of feels like a tomb, though the darkness helps me sleep. The sound insulation is very poor. I can hear almost everything the person above me does. Every step. Everytime he gets out of his recliner. Everytime they move their kitchen chairs and or table. Everytime they have company. Part of that is because of the wood flooring. One night recently they kept me up all night walking around. It wasn't until 5 in the morning before they quit. Another neighbor is a gamer, and plays it too loud sometimes. Sometimes the floor shakes, so I think it is either someone next to me or below me. I can't tell which. Very annoying. I wonder if the parking garages are checked often. Many times I look around and don't see the parking sticker on the windshield. Might need to enforce that more. The elevator is scary. Feels like it will break at anytime. I like the location, but if I renew, it's going to have to be a top floor. I can't take the noise anymore.

Resident a few years

Many things are great about Northside, especially the gyms, pools, park, volleyball court and location. My two biggest issues are the large rent increase I was I charged when my lease expired and the lack of parking. Northside decided to make reserved parking spots in the garages available for 50 per month and I think one person in my building may have bought one. Unfortunately that leaves many spots listed as reserved that no one is supposed to park in or risk being towed so those spots are usually empty and going to waste. Add in the handicapped spots and motorcycles that take spots, and I have great difficulty finding a place to park at least a few times every week. Because of this, many people park on the street, so my guests often have to park two or more blocks away. One would think parking would be included with rent as it was in the past, but after significantly raising my rent, I now can't even park by my unit most of the time.

Forgotten once you are a resident

Takes 3-5 days for a maintence request to be answered. Glossed over when leasing agents recogize you as the front office is full of potential commission so they don't want to waste their time on you, my apt has had a leak for over 20 days and it hasn't been fixed. I love the location but to live here is no different then a leaky cardboard box in nyc. Forgotten by those around you and praying for it to stop raining. Parking is a joke reserving 12 spaces on each level to get more money for reserved spots, for a luxury apartment sure have to pay for a lot of extras and you already pay a premium price.

North Side at Legacy Review

After our lease is over we definitely plan on moving somewhere else. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience at the time of moving in. We have been living here for 3 months.
1-We were told different things about our due dates by different employees in the office. Employees in the office assumed we knew what our due dates were and we were late on those multiple times.
2-Our previous neighbor downstairs was a horrible neighbor. On our first week she called a courtesy officer and the cops about 5 times because of the noise we made, even though the noise we made was us moving our furniture and organizing our things in there. After that she called about another 3 times to actual cops and 2 more times to courtesy officers because of us turning on our washing machine on and washing our clothes at night. This was probably the worst because all we were trying to do is live and this person was not allowing us to, at one point we started tip toeing around. Horrible experience. The office needs to tell there tenants at the time of signing that this is a apartment living and that you will most likely hear the people around you. Either that or change the floors to a thicker measure so people wont complain. We could always hear our neighbor upstairs but we never complained because we understood it is an apartment.
3-When we moved in we had no washer and dryer even though we signed up for those.
4-We were not told which apartment we were going to have, if it had wood floors, stainless steel appliance, was it in the second floor or third .
5-When we applied for the lease no one got in contact to let me know of our approval, I had to call many times.
6-It takes for ever to contact the office.
7-We were not given our parking stickers at the time of moving in, we had to go and ask for about a week.
8-Our gate in our building brakes down all the time, anyone can basically get in our building since the doors to the apartments form the garage are not locked.

Love the location

It is a great apt complex close to a lot of great things.

review

I've lived here since october 2013, I love mt apartment, I just don't like the unprofessional manager, Julie.. and their inability to fix ongoing problems and security issues. Doors are broken, she just gives excuses not solutions

Improvement Area

Below are the improvements required
- Maintenance, Cleaning and Parking
- Responding to the requests through calls.

old and run down

old and run down and seems like no vetting process to rent - a lot of sketchy people moving in

Would recommend to friend

Great area, so much to do in walking distance and a short drive. 5 pools, a gym, free workout classes, volleyball court and multiple dog parks. Lot of free events to meet people, most everyone is from somewhere else, so everyone is looking to meet new people. Very reasonable rates, with options for high end if you want.
