Apartment Review from a Current Renter

it seems to be a great place to be for medical students/medical field personnel. I however am in the tax field so most of my friends stay downtown due to the close proximity to their offices.
Thank you for your survey. It is a great place for medical field personnel to live but also for anyone working downtown or in any other area as our location makes it easy to get to and from anywhere in town.

Overpriced, bad service

Unethical

No where is perfect, but this place has few major issues. Parking needs to be assigned, gates need to be fixed (though idiots have driven into them recently, not th apartment's fault), and the pet fees and deposits are way too high. It should be a smaller fee per apartment, not per animal.

The property is centrally located and offers lots of great amenities.
Thank you for your comments. You are correct, our property is located in a perfect spot for anyone that needs to commute. All of our amenities are available 24/7 with the exception of the pool.

All of the above information should answer this. Location is great though.

Would- location; would not- lack of cleanliness, water outages, high rent for mediocre grounds.

Location is not the best: no grocery stores or restaurants within walk/bike distance, construction on all sides of the building; new management still seems to struggle with the day to day operations much more than the Greystar staff has: office hours have changed several times, policies (such as when the office or pool will be open or which parking space has been assigned) have changed with no percieved benefit to the residents, package delivery (to the door or to the office?) not consistently enforced; no consistent security patrol: response to my first after-hours call around 2 AM was a call-back saying security is off-site. Not helpful. Benefits: tower living tends to be more secure in Houston, park is nearby, close to work.
Hello. I hope that our meeting today helped clarify some of the concerns that you had regarding our building. If there is anything else that I can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,

If you asked me a year ago, I would have wholeheartedly recommended my community and have previously. I do not feel like I would recommend the service I receive from this apartment complex currently.
Dear Resident: I understand that you are a current resident of ours. I would like to know if it is ok for me to call you or for you to call me or stop by the office to discuss your concerns regarding our community and hopefully we can get them worked out to your satisfaction.

I think it is an excellent complex for pet owners and would recommend it to them.

I have enjoyed living here and love the style of the apartments. Management is easy to deal with and the amenities are great.
Thank you very much for your comments. Our property is amazing and we truly do have the best residents.

This place is a wasteland that pretends to be nice but really is a "get your lease signed and forget about you" kind of place.

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

would recommend simply due to location but would tell them to try to get a more reasonable rent due to the community going a bit downhill

Overall the phone interview and onsite visit were very positive. I was able to get a clear picture on what apartment I wanted due to the leasing professional's presentation. He positively spoke about pricing and availability. He was friendly, warm and inviting. We were able to hold a friendly conversation throughout the whole onsite visit. He presented the community and the available apartment with a positive demeanor. He ended the presentation with a strong attempt to close on leasing the apartment.
I am glad that you had a pleasant experience when you contacted our community. Please let us know if you are still looking for a new home and we will be more than glad to assist you.

thoroughly disappointed

This place is not recommended. I am a current resident; 11 months until I am done. I seriously contemplated changing apartments prior to renewing my lease but thought "one more year..."

Poor choice on my part. After management changed to the "Marquis" this place is going downhill even faster. Tried to jack up the rent on a lackluster property: promised a plethora of "improvements" that are still not here.

"24 hour maintenance availability and security" is no true. Called for it once while water was pouring down into my apartment on a weekend-- got the answering machine; and no response back at all. I had to go in on Monday and complain. When maintenance did finally show up, their response was "well no water is leaking now," and they left-- ignoring the obvious large water stains on the wall. Had to call back to get them to appropriately address the problem.

Likewise, attention to problems with my AC condensor, faulty wiring in the lighting have been met by half measures.

Water is always out- seriously- out ALL the time; elevators are always out; parking garage gates are always broken. Pool was closed by the city earlier for violations. No gas/ broken grills in the pool and cooking areas.

Front office staff is largely unhelpful; they show a blatant apathy that is sad..

People moving out in droves-- the smart ones... But at least the gym is terrible and the apartments are ridiculously expensive... 11 more months...
