Office staff should be more friendly. Jessica is great, others are inconsistent or consistently rude. Office needs more help on weekends. Between current and potential residents, it is too much for one person. Maintenance has improved on their responsiveness, thank you. Location of complex and apartments themselves are the best thing about living here. Price of rent is steep.

Brown, dying grass by Building 6 looks terrible and leaves mud when wet. Too many residents not picking up after their dogs. Resident with 2 schnauzers never does, same with two other residents. They ignore comments to pick it up. I would like it if we could opt out of valet trash. $20 a month for a single person isn't worth the expense. Mary and Lauren are both very nice and responsive to concerns. Great customer service so far.

Everyone here is very friendly and maintenance is always quick to come when we call them. The gym and pool area are very nice as well. The only complaint is that you have a limit of how many people you can entertain by the pool, even if you aren't making too much noise.

The physical setup to get in after hours is VERY poorly planned. You have to go over the speed bump without closing the gates and swipe the card. The entry issue could be solved by switching to the remote control access like other complexes have. Also, the after hours visitor's box does not call out of state numbers. This is the ONLY complex in Jacksonville with this problem. This should be something that can be easily changed. I wish I had fully realized the inconvenience of these 2 issues before leasing.

I've only been living in the complex for 5 months and so far so good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that the office is open later. Also like the newsletter and different, fun events. I have already recommended The Retreat to a friend, and if I stay in Jacksonville, I will consider renewing my lease here.

We just moved here in March 2015 and so far we love it! Love the landscaping and the pool. We do wish the gym had less treadmills and more weight equipment. Mary is awesome!

Great apartments and condition. Love the size of them and the quietness of the community. I wish maintenance could be improved, settling things a little quicker when a problem arises within apartment. I also have never had a problem with losing a package here compared to at other complexes.

With the appliances, countertops, and small water tank we have, I expected better for the monthly fee we are charged. Restricted breeds are on the grounds, and not everyone picks up after their pets. Not sure of proper resolution, just wanteed to comment. Low grade washing machine. This apartment is advertised as high end, and that's not the case per the appliances we have in our unit. We are a family of 3 and the hot water tank is not big enough for all of us to shower in the morning. Washing machine does not have a bleach dispenser and dishwasher is outdated.

We have an amazing management/leasing/maintenance team. They are couteous, professional, and reply in a timely manner ALWAYS. I love it here. I respect and appreciate our manager Krita, she's an exceptional property manager! I'd simply like to have the breezeways and stairs cleaned/painted, as they are stained. Also, send violations to residents for not picking up dog waste.

I am very pleased with my apartment. Lauren is absolutely fabulous. The ladies in the office always leave me feeling important and cared for. They are always positively responsive to my pressence and adequately respond to any and all needs I may have. The maintenance staff responds to requests and is friendly and courteous when I see them on property/in office. I love living here and look forward to this new year at The Retreat.
