The neighborhood where the community was located was very nice, secluded and quiet. Yet you were still only minutes away from some local attractions. The community amenities were in need of a makeover which I was told was in the works.

NEVER would I recommend this place. The residents are nasty -throwing their leftover food out to the deer because they are cute. Disgusting. I can't hang on my balcony because this place is filled with smokers and that is nasty. Also, when I walk outside I am sometimes hit with the smell of dog poop as some residents don't like to pick up after their dogs. And then maintenance has lots of issues and the place is dumpy!

Love it here!

We moved in again (the bf lived here previously and loved it) back in December. The leasing office was wonderful. I'm a Type A (lists, questions, concerns, you name it) and they were able to answer everything and didn't make us feel like we were wasting their time. We also brought our dog to check out the larger apartment and they didn't treat us like it was a huge inconvenience to have him with us. The bf always talked about how they treated the dogs in the community like an extension of the owners and it's totally true. Our dog loves to visit the front office since they're always giving him a treat and scratch behind the ears.
The location is fantastic- right next to Randalls (we can walk there), not too close to the highways, and I feel 100% safe.
Maintenance: I swear they might think I'm annoying, but they never act like it. One night our AC went out and our guy was EATING DINNER and off work, but he came as soon as he could. Poor guy. Wonderful guys and the work is always done within 24 hours.
They're fast with updates and letting the residents know what's going on, which is a first for me. I'm usually one of the last to know. Not here. A few months ago, I was cat sitting and it got out. Within 30 minutes of me telling the front office, there was an email blast to let everyone know to be on the lookout. We found the cat shortly after. Love our neighbors, super quiet, and overall, fantastic place. We plan on being here quite a while.

Our rent money spent on things like bleaching the roof tiles (yes, I'm serious) while the front gate is inoperable 90% of the time.
Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We are very sorry that you have not had a positive experience living in out community, especially with the gate system. I did want to make sure that you knew that our gates are open during the day, and closed when we leave the office every day. If you see that the gate is left open after hours, please let us know in the office. We have not received any reports of the gate not working. Also, we are doing many projects around the community to help keep the Marquis at Caprock Canyon updated and looking great for our residents, beginning with cleaning our tile roofs. Please let me know if there is anything I may do for you in the future!

The people I have met are friendly. Most of the dogs are friendly. It is quiet. I love having the nature preserve behind me.

We came back

My boyfriend lived here before I met him, and when we decided to combine expenses, he moved in with me (my lease with another apartment went through December). When it was time for my lease to be renewed, we knew that we didn't want to stay where we were. My boyfriend mentioned that he really loved Marquis, so we popped by to check it out. Lisa at the front desk is amazing. I had lots of questions and wanted to weigh all of our options. She was so patient and answered all of my questions and when it was time to decide if we wanted to sign a lease, we didn't even hesitate. Our apartment is amazing, our neighbors are great, there is a dog park for our dog, the maintenance staff are so patient and fast.
We're within walking distance of Randalls and a couple different restaurants so that's another plus. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone moving to the Austin area.

Same reasons as above. I don't feel comfortable in my master bedroom, and I have been trying to get the issue resolved from my first day. Also, there has been no compensation offered throughout the entire year thus far for dealing with ants all over my master bedroom.
