Fair Living Experience

The Berkeley is a beautiful complex that is well-kept. I live in the smallest one-bedroom offered and I really like it. A big problem, however is there is no cellphone reception in my apartment so in order to talk on the phone I either have to stand outside or sit in my car. This is extremely inconvenient, especially considering the price I pay to live here. Another issue I have is how a few of the office workers treat the residents. I have come in on multiple occasions to ask general questions questions about packages and have gotten rude responses or felt like it was an inconvenience that they even had to answer my questions. I think since they are the face of the Berkeley that it is important that they are polite and respectful no matter how small the question. Other than that the grounds are well-kept and I have had no major issues with my apartment

Review

I like the property. However, I don't like my unit location. I understand the occasional Friday Saturday night party noise we are right by TCU BUT... The family below me has 2 or 3 kids who scream bloody murder 24 7, and the mom is always yelling at them. The girls who live next door to me have a schnauzer that is constantly barking - and I mean all the time. Also, I am right by the rail tracks which makes sleep difficult. I literally have to wear ear plugs to sleep in my own house because of the train noise. The property rent is too expensive for the amount of noise I deal with. Additionally, the unit was not appropriately cleaned upon move-in. My roommate and I's bathrooms were coated in disgusting black hair. We went through two whole cans of Clorox wipes trying to remove dirt and grime in the shower area as the previous residents were very unclean. I won't be living here next year.

It is an apartment complex.

I don't mind coming home to my apartment in this complex. The parking is about 80 of what I would feel satisfied with, I really should add a garage to my lease. I feel like there is a 70 chance of seeing animal waste when I walk in the grass in front of the parking row, which I feel compelled to walk on as the alternative is to share the road' as a pedestrian. The building I am in has not given me inspiration toward a strong feeling in any direction. The stairs up to my floor could use some attention, as the first flight is quite loud possibly loose and the concrete on the landings is very poor in appearance. The door to my apartment is a great example of the greater collection of my experience with the quality of the apartment in general The paint job is sloppy, and the finish is poor, but the door works very well and is solid. The issues I have noticed throughout the apartment are projects that would warrant a 10 run to home depot and 5 minutes of time, but I cannot justify the effort knowing that these items are not mine and the reward of their being brought to my standard expectation of quality does not justify the potential liability of my labor nor the minimal effort of scheduling concluding a maintenance order. I would have been impressed if the lighting fixtures were LED, if the balcony double door did not seem like an aborted double door, if the over-oven fan did not recycle the air into the apartment, if the cupboard design in the kitchen gave the impression that it was designed with storage of pots and pans in mind, and if there was not a soft squeaky spot under the carpet. I was impressed by the apparent insulation quality, both with respect to sound and temperature I was impressed by the overall quality of nearly every practical item consideration included in the apartment I am impressed by the presence of coordinated events, and would be happy to see the offerings greatly broadened and widened. Overall my complaints are outweighed by the positive experiences I have had, and the nature of my complaints indicates an agency that prioritized fit and function over form and finish, which is appreciated. I am compelled to offer my suggestion that the mail area be revised in the following ways an addition of a recycling receptacle for the significant amount of unsolicited advertisements coupons that I see filling the nearest trashcan, a drop-box for mail to the previous occupant s , and this location would be ideal for a bulletin board community posting area as the community website does not appear to see much traffic. I feel these additions would be appreciated.

It's a safe, up and coming new complex.

It's pretty nice. Amenities are there, maintenance is on-time and helpful, it's a convenient location, safety is maintained, and the apartments themselves are really nice both on the inside and outside.

Nice

Very nice

Great Location, Still Some Things to be Desired

The location of the The Berkeley is phenomenal, and I love that it is a 21 age restriction. Some of the appliances are cheap, and I wish I had better quality considering the amount of money that I pay in rent. I love the fitness center, and the maintenance crew are top notch

Great Place to Live

Close to West 7th, Sundance Square, Zoo, great neighborhood and good running trails. Facilities are very nice.

The property is okay, not great. Customer service.

It is okay living here but being charged an extra amount for trash is ridiculous since they never come and pick it up. Then they tell you to leave your trash out and they will get someone to pick it up for you, and then that doesn't happen either. Otherwise it's a relatively decent place to live, but at this moment, I definitely will not be renewing my lease here at all, and I will not be recommending people.

Love it here

This is a wonderful apartment community and very dog friendly. The staff is great, I always feel safe here, and neighbors are friendly. Residents are a mix of college students, young professionals, and families. I've had only minor maintenance issues which were always resolved within a few hours...even on weekends. My home is so quiet I often forget I'm in an apartment and not an actual house. No noise from neighboring units whatsoever. Highly recommended.

very nice complex

Staff is very helpful, apartments are nice and comfy can really make it feel like home

My Feedback about apartment 9213

In several occasions my husband notify about the problems with the A C. But we have already 4 months and the problem continues.

In addition my upstairs neighbors walk, run and make a lot of noise.

Nice place to live with minimal problems

It's an overall great place to live with pretty good quality of materials. Storage isn't always optimal for use, but it's workable. The grounds are always well upkept.
