Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

What a great property. It was close to Buckley Air Force Base. They offered a military discount. It was close enough to many shopping areas and restaurants but not right in the middle of them. There was lots of parking and plenty of garages, pet friendly with huge bathrooms and amazing closets. This would be a great place to live because of the location and price, plus the neighbors were great. If I wanted an apartment that was inexpensive, but still a nice community, Aspen Ridge would be the place to go.

The overall community is in great condition. If you are looking for a nice community you may want to consider moving here.

Staff was helpful and ready to show a unit. The grounds are well kept, and the clubhouse is beautiful. The nice work out room and business center were appealing.

I would recommend this community to my family and friends.

I really liked the amenities around the community, especially since the agent said they were remodeling the clubhouse and theater room. However, I was not impressed with the agent's sales presentation or lack of enthusiasm.

The community seemed well maintained. The leasing professional was friendly.

It's ok...

Neighbors are disgusting.
The pool was never heated in the summer to a temperature you could actually swim in.
Overall its "OK", not what I expected for a "luxury apartment.

I was very comfortable with the presentation of both the apartments and the amenities.

By the time I was able to meet with a leasing professional, my time with him felt rushed and impersonal. He could have taken advantage of the opportunity he had with a prospective resident standing in front of him to get some information so he could have followed up with me when I did not return for a tour the next day, but he had decided not to get that information from me.

It has been good overall.

Aspen Ridge is a nice place to live, well kept complex. The quality of materials use inside the apartments could be improved, such as linoleum peals up, carpet becomes matted down, cheap doors), but it is the same as the quality at any other apartments we've been in. Maintenance is good, they come promptly and will come back if things aren't fixed the first time. Parking can be a pain unless you get a garage or come from work earlier than everyone else. Overall I would definitely live here again and recommend it to someone else.

This community was built in 2003. The buildings, grounds, and amenities were well maintained except that the balconies needed to be painted. The rental rates were competitive with other communities in the area.

The property was extremely clean. I loved the small theater provided for residents. The pool area and pool are beautiful, and the fact that the pool is open year around is a huge bonus. The landscaping is very visually appealing. The staff are friendly and helpful.

My experience at this community was very positive. Everything about it was appealing, and it looked like a nice place to live. Once all the renovations are complete, it will definitely be even more appealing and make for a nicer place to live. I do feel it is a good value for what you get and will be an even better value once all the renovations are done. Even though it is a good distance from downtown, there is enough in area that you would not miss downtown.

Generally a nice place to live

The place is reasonably priced, but the attention to grounds is lacking. If you have anything that breaks or requires attention you might as well have it fixed on your own, since the grounds maintenance and repair personnel are nonexistent.

"Luxury Apartments" or Low-Income Housing?

I would tell them that the apartments themselves are very nice. That's why we decided to move here. The office staff is overall helpful and friendly. The problems I have experienced has been with the people wo live here.
Every weekend my neighbors blast music most of the day and late into the night. If I wanted to live in a college house, I would be paying much less in rent. Sometimes it gets to the point where I feel like I need to leave just to escape the noise.
Parking is hit or miss. I feel lucky when I get to park by my apartment instead of having to walk. Many times I have to stop in front of the apartment, unload my car, then come back out and go park somewhere and walk back.
The grounds are gross. I have a puppy and it's so hard to take him out to the grass. I have to watch him like a hawk to pull things out of his mouth he finds every 10 seconds in the grass like cigarette butts, old food someone thew in the grass, empty alcohol containers, food trash (papers, yogurt containers, etc.) The other day I came home to a broken desk sitting on the sidewalk by the stairs. Classy. Again, this is due to my neighbors trashing the community.
Also having a puppy, I sometimes need to take him out in the middle of the night. I have had experiences wtih very interesting people roaming the grounds at night. One night, an SUV was driving around with no lights on and dark tinted windows pulled up to my building. One guy stayed in the car while another got out and looked around to see who was outside before going into an apartment. As an isolated event, I wouldn't think too much of it, but this type of event is not uncommon, and it doesn't make me feel any better about where I live.
I was really hoping this would be a place where I could settle-in for a while, but after 1 month of living here I was already wishing I could move.
