Reviews

Decent place, bad new management and owners.

It was good for the first few years, then it went downhill when CWS took over. Consecutive 20% rent increases (outrageous!); poor communication; staff is only nice on the surface, until you have a problem, then you'll see how rude, condescending and unprofessional they get.
The grounds are nice and roomy. Dog waste is everywhere, rules are never enforced, like people and kids using the pool or playing volleyball after 10pm on weekdays etc. Parking is a nightmare. The place itself is overall not so bad, but when it changed owners it really went downhill in terms of service and value... now all you get is rude, inattentive staff, for overpriced average apartments.
Location is good I guess. I honestly used to love living here, nor a good deal anymore. Time to move on.
Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on Renter`s Voice. I`m sorry to hear you are unhappy with the pricing of the community as well as the new management. I would like you to know we genuinely care about our residents. We are here to help with any and all issues. We address issues in a direct and professional way. I would love to know more information in detail so I can better take care off issues for you. Please don`t hesitate to call. Thanks again.
I totally agree with this resident. I have the same complaints. Management always gives the same response but never follows up. Complained about kids playing soccer in the pool two days ago and they we still at it tonight.

The community was very nice. Laschon was awesome and made the apartment tour relaxing. I believe the apartment pricing is affordable however the all white appliances look outdated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are looking at possibly making some changes to our appliance options for the next year!

Overall Great Experience

The staff was very helpful and friendly, I was moving from Dallas and they went above and beyond to make sure the movers could get my place setup remotely while I was driving down. They were also easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Likewise any maintenance requests were completed within 24 hours. I'd file online at night and when I got home from work it'd be done.

The unit I lived in had a good layout and was spacious, for a good price, and the Round Rock and Domain areas are both about 5min away. Lot of good restaurants, bars, etc. Also there are some running trails around the area, and across the street is the town Rec Center which is quite cheap and had an indoor basketball court + gym (the complex also has a gym as well).

Overall I definitely recommend living here.
Thank you so much for the great feedback! It is always great to here we are doing things right here at Shoreline!

I have in the past. Until improvements are made in the personnel of the office, I will not.
Thank you for sharing your comments on Renter`s Voice. Hopefully I was able to get your issues resolved last week! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you out.
Thanks,
Linsey

I cannot easily recommend a complex that charges $44 a month for a cable service that as terrible as the TWC service we are forced to have.
Thank you for posting your review on Renter`s Voice. Per our discussion, the $42 charge has been removed. We look forward to helping you with anything else in the future!
Thanks again!

Needs Improvement

In general used to be a quiet place to live but that has changed, but some areas need improvement such as regular pest control which is now almost virtually nonexistent. Can't remember the last time it was done. Some older apartments could use decent upgrades for old cabinets and appliances. Communication from management is not great either.
Good Morning! I appreciate you taking time to fill out a review on renter`s voice. I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with our place. I would love the chance to know specifically what your issues are so I can address them. As for noise, we do have a 3 strikes and your out rule. If we have 3 instances of verified noise, we will ask the resident to relocate or move out. Pest control is out every Wednesday. You do need to call if you want your apartment treated for anything. We are upgrading apartments upon move out and in some cases, renewals. We try to communicate the best we can by sending out relate messages, notices to your door, etc. Once again, I would love a chance to go over any issues with you so we can improve. Thanks again!

I would recommend the apartment for its service, management, and how quite the environment usually is. I probably would not recommend the apartment for its amenities.
Thank You for posting to our Renter`s Voice! I`m happy to hear that you are happy with our management and maintenance service! I would love to hear feedback as to what amenities you would like to see here at Marquis Shoreline!

I love this place!

This is my first apartment to ever rent on my own and it was definitely a great choice! First off, the staff is amazing. They seem to actually care about your life. The apartments are also very beautiful. They have all sorts of different layouts so its perfect for everyone. My apartment is on the first floor and has beautiful hardwood floors. Everything about these apartments are great. I've never once had any complaints. The leasing office is awesome! They always have drinks and there is a seating area and computers. I like to come in here to hang out, and the staff does not have an issue with it. The pool is HUGE! Unfortunatly, I have not gotten a chance to swim in it(because it's been cold) but as soon as it warms up I will be out there. The neighbors are always quiet and never making loud noises. When i do see the neighbors though they are very nice. I give these apartments 5 stars because they deserve it! Thanks guys!
Thank you so much for the positive words! These kind of reviews really do warm our heart:) If there is ever anything we can do for you, please let us know! Thanks again!

The staff at this property was amazing and very professional. The property is gated and this is a community that I would love to stay in.
Thank You so much for the positive feedback! We love to hear when people are happy!

Love My Community!

I've been at this apartment community since 2011 and am very happy and pleased to call it home. While the rent is a bit high for my liking the friendly and quick responding maintenance crew, the very friendly and helpful office staff and leasing managers, and the community overall make up for it. I enjoy the quality of what I pay for. Every leasing manager I've encountered, especially James who has been there since the day I moved in, has never disappointed. I look forward to watching the Marquis Shoreline grow even more with added resident activities. I hope to be here a few more years for sure!
Thank you so much for the WONDERFUL feedback!!!! I will make it my mission to heed your advice and plan some great resident functions! If you have any suggestions, give me a call:)

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Recently my vehicle was towed from the spot I have been using since August. It was a covered spot and I was not aware that that was permit parking only. It was not made aware to me by anyone. I can safely assume that to be true because I have been parking there for my entire stay. If I had have known at the time I would have never began using the spot. It might have been in the fine print on my lease but i dont remember reading it. After I was towed I looked all around the parking lot and saw one sign indicating that parking under a carport was permit only. It is at the front gate nowhere near my apartment and it is very easy to miss. I have never seen an email regarding this or any other form of notification. If it was a problem for the complex why didn't they put out a notification of some sort? If I had been made aware of the situation I would have found another parking spot. I was not just trying to "pull one over" on you guys it was an honest mistake and instead of leaving a note on my windshield or notifying me any other way you decided to have my vehicle towed.(I know it was the towing company making the decision but it was on your authority.) So now Im out almost $200 not to mention I wasted a good chunk of my Saturday recifying the issue. You could have looked at my windshield and seen I was a resident, not just some random person. I pay almost $1000 a month and you couldn't give me the courtesy of a warning? I voiced my grievance to Lindsey but I dont know if that did any good. This was a bad move on your part. This is not the way to conduct business and I think you probably lost mine. I have a lease renewall in February and I don't think I will renew it.
As another current resident here I know how it can be disappointing to have your vehicle towed. I also know that the community sent out several notices by email and by paper notices informing us that we must have permits to park under the covers as well as in general parking. I've seen several people towed but rules are rules, there are no warnings for parking in some one else's spot and I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted someone in your spot allowed to stay there while you had to find somewhere else to park. It is important to read the notes they leave on your door, that was your warning.

I thought it was a nice community and the leasing agent seemed knowledgeable.
