Recycling Changes as a major PLUS

We have been at this complex for a little over 6 months, and overall our experience has been positive. My only concern was the recycling receptacle size and procedures for overflow. Within days of voicing my complaint, a new and much larger receptacle was put into place. I am very happy with the outcome and the efficiency of management. As an environmentally conscious tenant, it is nice to know that my concerns mattered and were acted upon.

Very Well Maintained Complex

My boyfriend and I lived here for over a year and this was a great apartment complex. The leasing agents and maintenance staff are really friendly & keep the property in excellent condition. This complex is also very affordable (especially for Austin) & in a pretty convenient location. One of my other favorite things about this location is how close it is to the Mills Pond park & trail which is an amazing trail for running, biking & taking your dog on a walk--this complex is walking distance from this park & trail which is awesome :)

bad parking situation. advertise a towing company, but when someone parks in your carport and want to get them towed, the towing company states they no longer have a contract. Walls are thin, you can hear every step of the neighbors above you. Maintenance people are great, they fix everything in a timely fashion, however I always have to put in a request to fix something. Gym is small, very little amenities.

Great place to live - phenomal staff!

I moved in the Marquis @ Shoreline back in August and I love it here. The property is very clean and well maintained. Maintenance is very prompt and responsive. Parking is limited at times, however, I love the fact that everyone is required to have a parking sticker/tag to ensure us residents have parking available. One of the main reasons I leased here at the Marquis is because of James. He is very welcoming and eager to ensure you are genuinely happy in your home. I haven't had a chance to meet any other staff members, but I'm sure they are just as great.

The community offered a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The amenities were and what was expected in a community like this. It was attractive and well maintained.
We at the Marquis at Shoreline push to provide you with exceptional customer service and a well maintained, professional atmosphere. The community is a small, quiet community located in North Austin that has a lot to offer in amenities, interior finish and customer service.

Meh.

The front office is helpful. As for value, not so much. Very expensive for not much space or many amenities. The parking is absolutely ridiculous. There are wayyyyyy too many covered parking spots and not enough people paying for them, so residence often find themselves having to park in the front, or waay away from their apartment. There's only one dumpster, all the way on the other side of the apartment complex for some reason. Extremely inconvenient. I also didn't appreciate the fact we were forced to use key cards to get into the community when there was a code that I had to find out from a long time resident who told me after they noticed that nobody had their card and couldn't get into the gate. One of my friends was told by the guy at the front office so she could come visit, but when I asked, I was told that there was no code. Just another way to get money out of the people who live there. I understand the need for some way to keep others out of the fitness center and laundry, but the fact that they're making us use keys that cost $200 is a little ridiculous, especially having to go back and forth with the key with a roommate.

On the plus side. The staff is nice. Maintenance is always very prompt to fix issues.
Thank you for taking the time to review Marquis Shoreline. I`m glad to hear you are happy with the staff. On the other side, I`m sorry to hear you are happy with some of our amenities, parking and key issuing. As for the gate, it is a key card access only. We do have a code that vendors use but we refrain from passing it out to help control who is in and out of our gate. The gym key does have a replacement fee as to deter residents from giving the key to non-residents or losing it. This is not a money making thing for us but more of a security for our residents and amenities. The parking- I couldn`t agree with you more about the covered parking spots. That is the way the community was built and I am working on a resolution for it. I am also working on our dumpster/ trash issue. I have someone coming out tomorrow to hopefully help with that.
