Most other communities like this in the city do not charge a rental fee for use of the common space, only a security deposit. The rental charge here should go away. Replenish towels in the gym more often. Pool balls should stay in the sports lounge. Very annoying to have to go down to concierge if only want to shoot around for a little.

I love it, but it's so expensive I can't really recommend it to anyone. When I hire people to work with me I help them look for places to live, and I'm not able to show them The Victor because of the price. I try to show them similar types of buildings in different parts of the city that have lower rates.

I can understand your challenge with Boston area rental rates as they are higher than some other cities. The rates at The Victor are set using a system that polls our competitor rents for similar apartments, notes supply and demand changes and prices our apartments accordingly. I am happy that you decided to renew your lease with us for another year!

It's a very dinamic community, with a lot of facilities, location convenience (near supermarkets, stores, the T....), very good apartments....

I would recommend this community to my younger friends who want to split the cost to live here, because most apartments have a roommate setup. It is also close to the Train which is convenient

Overall, I love the building, but it's clear the building cut some corners with the amenities (see comments above) and have an unusable front entrance have the year is a big issue. I'm on the fence as to whether I think this building is worth the rates they charge and whether I would recommend to a friend.

The staff is great and we've only been here a month. So far I think we're just settling in. We've only met two other residents on our hall and have had positive experiences overall minus the one loud neighbor who we haven't met but have heard. We're looking forward to warmer weather and utilizing the outdoor spaces more.

Rent less justifiable given garage pass recognition issues, side entrance door breaks and elevator accessibility as well as significant time waiting on concierge for packages when they are away from desk in evening . Getting only full pressure from one source (washer, shower, toilet or kitchen sink) is also very annoying for a modern building. Less sense of community than Archstone or Kensington which I previously lived at.

For a new building that is considered "Luxury" living that has this high of rent you would expect to not have as many issues encountered in the day to day living. If the state of the buidling is such that these issues are too be expected than disclose that information and drop the rent to what the value of the experience is.
