Overall very good complex, well-kept, security, shows concern for residents & not strictly business based. Complex staff is understanding & works with residents.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

I toured The Glenn at Millennia phase of The Villages. These apartments look nce and well kept up. The landscaping was neat and the parking lot free of any debris. The model that I saw was a good size and a nice value. The mirrored pantry in the dining room is a nice touch. This appears to be a thriving active community for all types of living and families of all types.

I found the welcoming community idea very sweet. If I was a single person, it would have made me feel more at home, knowing that the neighbors would look out for me.

The community was very lively at the time of my visit. There was a lot of traffic and coming and going.

Price is the best part of living here

Walls are paper thin, you can hear when the toilet is flushed from up-stairs, I work nights and landscaping is done so early in the morning right outside my window, you can hear every conversation from outside through the walls, you can also hear when someone walks in the apartment upstairs. To round it up its just too noise.

The good with the bad

We have lived here for 3 months, and for the price and the location, it is an OK place to live.

It is an older complex (I believe built in the 80's), but they have made an effort to update it, which makes the age much more tolerable.

The maintenance team is nice, and they do a satisfactory job-- when they actually come. I have put in several work orders for smaller repairs that have gone unnoticed. They are definitely not quick to complete work orders unless they are big repairs that HAVE to happen quickly.

There is duck poop everywhere. And dog poop. As far as I know, there is no policy about people cleaning up after their dogs.

I have not met all of the workers in the office, but the few encounters I've had, I was not impressed. They were rude and not eager to help. Except the one who sold me my lease. This individual is not very nice or helpful until I identify myself, then they flip a switch and are very nice and helpful. One of them even was hesitant to give a package to my spouse because it did not have HIS name on it, even though we live together and share the same last name.

As far as the quality of the units themselves, in general they are satisfactory. The upgrades help (the linoleum floors that look like wood and the plastic countertops that look like granite). The carpet is nice too. My biggest complaint would be that the drywall is cracking at the corners, and the doors have been painted so many times that they stick when I try to close them. The layout of our bathroom is poorly designed as well. One of the sinks is far too close to the wall and one of the doors. If the door is open, it is nearly impossible to use the sink.

If you never have to have contact with the office workers and your unit never needs any maintenance, it is a decent place to live. And if you don't mind dodging duck and dog poop. Definitely decent for the price and location.

I am sure there are better apartment communities out there.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

There was nothing new or extraordinary about this community. They offered the same amenities others do, but smaller and all the signage made it confusing the find the location I needed. Though the rooms were large, there was no storage or patio.

Basically for all the reasons stated above. I feel like I was sold a dream. That quickly turned into a nightmare and continues to get worse with passing months.
