Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Until we find out what is going on I don't feel comfortable recommending it to anyone. We are being told it might be a lot better but right now we don't see it and feel it's not fair to put us in the dark.i love so much about this place but do feel we are turning into a nursing home dumping ground.

I would recommend Lexington Club because most of the residents are friendly, and it's conveniently located to many places I visit.

Not a clean building, the floors are disgusting

I would have to point out the good with the bad. The majority of the residents here are very nice people and the social aspect here is great if a person takes the initiative. Would have to point out that the brochure does not deliver what it promises.

I was told of Mike by a former Tennant/relative that I shouldn't have moved here

I have never lived with roaches before. The doors are not easy to handle for people with disabilities. Could be cleaner.

Before I would recommend it to anyone. Now with staff reduction, with the place not being kept up I would be careful who I recommend it to. Our Stoves are at least 12-14 years old, they do not work and it's impossible to bake without burning. My Refrigerator runs most of the time. My electric has more than doubled since my first year.

IF THEY ARE HANDICAPPED I WOULD NOT, IF PEOPLE ARE OLDER WITHOUT BEING HANDICAPPED WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME DURING THE WINTER.

No activity director, one of the maintenance people drives us to the store.

I would recommend this place for friends. Because it is can and friendly people live here & work here.

Other than the "skeleton" staff and the thinness of activities, it is an attractive place, mostly comfortable, and I'd like to have friends nearby. It's bright and cheerful when compared with some of the places I saw. However, only one elevator per side has been inconvenient a couple of times when it was out of service. I cannot handle stairs safely. I was not fully aware that there was no connection between sides at the time I moved in. Having the open library is cool. The exercise room and game room are advantages. So are the Friday afternoon social hours.

It's clean and well kept. Plus I feel very safe here. Activities are fun as well when I have a chance to participate.

Recently we looked at other available senior housing and found one that was in the same price range. With all the amenities plus a theater room. Security and in a much safer area. The cost of moving is a factor for me but if this place becomes more expensive and less safe I will not renew my lease. The other place increases the rent no more than 2% a year. Which is much more reasonable.
Most of the local properties for Senior Citizens are either income based/subsidized or assisted living. As we are neither of these, our rental rates are driven by what is happening within the local market.
