The service was friendly and based on my rental preferences.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

I was impressed with everything from the location, to the surrounding community, surrounding amenities, property amenities, the apartments most importantly the leasing agent.
Thank you for your detailed compliments. We hope that you will find an apartment home at Mount Vernon Flats. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Keep Looking!

Owned by Lincoln Properties and now known as Mount Vernon Flats at Perimeter, management will nickel and dime residents every chance they get. The location is great, but during lease renewal, rent can increase anywhere from $100-200 based on market rate. Most of the units have been remodeled with upgraded appliances to justify charging astronomical amounts of money.

Management has a contract with OnePoint Technologies, a water utility company that takes advantage of their monopoly by charging residents $30 extra for payments as late as one day. Residents pay a monthly fee for pest control, which is added to the water and sewer bill whether the service is used or not. In addition to the monthly pest control charge, residents also pay a monthly fee for door-to-door trash pickup by Invisible Waste Services, but still must walk to the trash receptacle to dispose of unwanted furniture or cardboard boxes.

Maintenance may get to repairs within a week if they are not too busy and the leasing office staff should take classes in how to improve their customer service. I’ve lived in the community more than four years and my experience has been nothing short of forgettable.
We are truly sorry that you are not enjoying your apartment home. We do care and wish to talk with you in person about your grievances. Please call or stop by the office at your earliest convienence.

Not Professional front desk and hit fine anything

Front Desk people not have soft skill training and Behavioral sense and may send any letter of fine any point of time and when you ask them anything explainination they don't have explaination and put fine and say otherwise we will loose our job. we have been asked to collect fine by owner by any way.

Please avoid!!

The worst place I have ever lived. Please avoid! I never write these kinds of reviews, but I had such a horrible experience living here that I would like to warn others. I was charged by mistake to switch apartments, my neighbor's apartment flooded when the water heater exploded because it was so old, there are bugs and cockroaches everywhere because the windows and doors are old and won't seal, and the leasing agents could care less about your needs (they're nice until you sign the lease and then they don't want to be bothered with you). Let me continue...they charged me to replace my carpet when I moved out and they threw away some sentimental items I had left behind when I moved out after I called to inform them to save the items. They said they would look into it and then never called me back and just threw them away. They told me 2 days before I was supposed to move to a different apt in the complex that the apt was not ready and asked if I could move to a different apt instead. Of course at this point, I had already submitted a change of address to the post office and informed my credit card companies of the change. This place is so awful that I would rather live in my car then have to deal with their rundown, beg-infested, noisy apartments and incompetent and rude staff ever again!

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

It is a beautiful community in an exceptional location, within walking distance to dining, shopping and activities. The common areas are very well kept. The clubhouse and facilities are new and appealing. I did not see very many tenants milling around on a Monday afternoon. The quality of the apartment interiors was high end enough that they felt like luxury. The patio/balcony areas, were small, but nice. The overall serenity of the community was exceptional; especially given their busy city location. The agent was terrific. She was professional, knowledgeable, smiling, and her enthusiasm was abundant. If I were really looking for an apartment, I might really consider this one.

Complex is not well kept trees and roughage are overgrown on walkways around pond.

Also, only one trash dump that is far from majority of complex big big inconvenience
If every apartment was next to trash dump it would be more convenient but most would not want that.  It makes good sense the way they have laid it out.

Horrible place to live

This place is awful. The noise is unlivable and the bugs are a constant problem the pond that they sell as a plus is a huge minus. It causes lots of Mosquitos and bugs and other pests

Stay away way too expensive for what you get

Do NOT rent an apartment here!

I lived in these apartments for approximately 10 months. We had a rat problem. Our building was infested with rats and I lived with the rats for about 4 months. Management did try to solve the problem but it took forever to resolve. The rent is way too high and the walls are paper thin. We could hear a lady moaning every night as well as the people upstairs. In addition, there are a lot of bugs and if you live near the "so called" lake that looks like a sewer, you will hear the bullfrogs in the summer time. These apartments are conveniently located near the shopping areas and MARTA but they are not worth the price!

This community is nicely tucked away between lots of stores and shopping centers. The landscaping and grounds are very neat and clean, the apartments are spacious compared to other communities, and the staff are friendly.

Great place to live and convenient

I love living at Mount Vernon Flats. It's so convenient to everything (shopping, eating, 400, 285). It's also very pretty. The pool is awesome in the summer.

Worst place ever - Stay Away!!

The place is old, they are remodeling but it is purely cosmetic. Huge cracks in the walls that have been painted over; as another tenant stated; truly a pig in lipstick. Bugs are awful and the staff is uncaring and not attentive. Me and most of my neighbors who have been living here for years are moving out. People have been living here for years, never been late on a payment and they will not even agree to change or clean your carpet. Additionally, It should be a crime for the charges they add to your water bill. Better choices in the area , don't waste your time with this overpriced dump!

Terrible place very noisy

Place is very bad paper thin walls can hear everything from people around you and all the noise outside

Insect infestation is true

Saw the other post about bugs and want to second the comment. My apartment is filled with bugs as well I kill at least a half a dozen a day. Management doesn't do anything about it. Don't give care about tenants.

BUGS!!!

Bug infested complex trust me you do not want to live here. Worst part is they tack on a "pest control" every month in addition to your rent.
