I have loved living here the past 13+ years. Lately the parking and towing situation has made it less hospitable to live or visit here. Where to park, because of faded paint, is getting harder to discern. My car and my friend's cars have been towed, and that's after being extra careful and attentive about where to park. There are not enough available spaces nearby, and parking spots are not clearly delineated.
Hi there!- Thank you for your post. I do want to make sure to address each concern you have. We will be re-striping the parking lot for the community shortly. We know this is a concern and we're working diligently to get it done for our community and residents.

Our occupancy is very high at the moment and with that come more resident vehicles and that can take up more spaces.

Hi there Shanna, thank you for taking the time to send us a review and we value your voice. I can understand that living in Austin can be expensive. I've lived here ever since I was 2 years old. Once I started renting, I've seen the pricing go up every year (I certainly wish it wouldn't but I completely understand pricing being an issue).

I know that rental increases are never fun or a joyous moment but we try to make that process a smooth and fair one for all. As I'm sure you know, the Austin market is booming and that does reflect in the pricing of all apartments.

We would probably recommend this apartment as it could be a great fit for some people but would make sure to include our opinions of the pros and cons.
Thank you for recommending us to others. We would love for them to live with us. Pros and cons are always a good thing and helps them to make an informed decision. I know they'll love being on Bull Creek Preserve, with walking trails, great scenery, the deer, bunnies and squirrels. Being built to condo spec is a great asset as well.

Granite counter tops in their kitchen and bathroom, as well as a gas cooking stove and stainless steel appliances.

It's rather expensive, and goes up a lot each year for a relatively dated complex. Have Have friends in new places downtown that actually have more competitive pricing. A couple have even had their rents go down with renewal.

Regarding renewals, it's always different from community to community and where the market is at that time. Unfortunately we are unable to offer renewals where the rate went down or stays the same. We try to be as conscious as possible of resident's budgets and where the market/competitors are as well. Rental increases are always a hot button but I hope that we can discuss further what goes into renewal offers so I can give you the full picture.

We were built in 1996 and we have beautiful apartments with amazing views. Great stainless steel appliances, gas cooking stove, crown molding, hard surface flooring in select homes and built to condo spec.

Have you been to our remodeled fitness center yet? All the new machinery and free weights are quite nice ;)

I was so impressed with the leasing professional and how she shared the community and company effort to make the environment family oriented. The Bridge concept, the twice yearly parties, the renovations. etc. I didn't see amenities, but I was okay with not seeing it as they were being renovated

You'd be happy to know that the renovation for our Fitness Center is complete and it looks amazing! New free weights, machinery and medicine balls. Don't forget new flooring too! I did not feel safe in the apartment he showed me, based on how close it was to the parking lot. Easy break in. I also did not like the idea that the prices changed every day. Seemed too random.
Good afternoon.

I wanted to make sure to respond to your concerns you've mentioned above.

You stated that you did not feel safe in the apartment that was shown to you (based on how close it was to the parking lot)

Our community has 28 buildings and you definitely can have your choice of view and where you would like to be placed on property (depending on our availability at that time) This is beneficial to you so we can find the perfect placement for you here.

As you know, we cannot guarantee anyone's safety but our Community is well lit at night, we do have access/gate cards that allow our residents to enter into the property after our office closes and that will let the gates open (and they close after each vehicle) We also offer a pin to get into our Community and that changes every three months.

We do have locks on every window, front doors, porch closet doors, sliding glass doors and garages as well.

Was it because the apartment was facing a parking lot? I want to make sure I can help to put your mind at ease.

As for the pricing changing each day and that it seemed to be random, I can address that for you.

The pricing changes everyday due to availability and it changes according to the floor plan too. With that being the case, when we "quote" you an apartment and pricing, it locks in that rate for a full 48 hours (as long as someone doesn't lease it online). That does help if it's at a really good rate, it'll lock it in for a full 2 days.

You can access our website at: www.caprockcanyon.net and you'll be able to see how much the rental rate will be depending on your move in date and lease term you choose. We offer 1 to 13 month lease terms to fit your needs.

I hope this gives you a better explanation as to why our pricing changes.
