Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

I would definitely lease at the community. The pool and grounds reminded me of condos at a resort. The staff were knowledgeable and polite. The make you feel right at home.

The agent did a good job in her presentation and demonstration of the property.

The community was nice because it was small so it catered to the residents. Although I was not asked a lot of questions over the phone, the agent seemed to engage me and cater to my needs.

This small community had apartments on three levels and centrally located amenities. The property was well maintained. I toured a one bedroom apartment with laundry connections, a large walk-in closet and a large bedroom. The lease rate was competitive and a move-in promotion was available.

The agent was exceptional from the beginning of the interaction and all the way through the tour. She was excellent!

The pool and fitness center were not bad, but also were not impressive. For being a newer property, I would have expected a little more from the amenities. The apartment was lovely. I loved the floor plan. It was definitely different than a typical apartment floor plan. The property was very clean and well kept.

nice with some improvements needed.

the maintenance team, frank and robert are very very courteous, professional and quick to fix any problems we may have. great team. cory and alana are amazing as well. very kind and very quick to try to solve any issues we present to them.

Nice and Quiet Propety

Nice atmosphere except for seeing the dumpsters always full. Not only is it an unpleasant sight but the smell is awful. Property needs to place another dumpster. Emailing residents regarding the policy is not working. Other action needs to take place. Other than that, staff are extremely pleasant and very attentive. I enjoy being a resident at Carmel Canyon.

Great place to call home.

It's a great place to live. Very quaint and quiet which I love.

Great place to live.

It's been 7 months and the only complaint I've had is with the neighbors barking dog. The apartments are very nice and the grounds are kept up nicely. Cory is the manager and he is awesome. He goes above and beyond to help with any problem that comes. All managers should have the attitude and outlook that Cory has. Alana also works in the office and she's really wonderful to. I would defiantly recommend this place.

Overall, this was a clean and modern community. The features of the apartment were up to date and classy. The community was well kept and offered nice basic amenities.

Calm, quiet and simply wonderful

This apartment is my very first one as an adult. The whole application process was amazingly easy and quick Any time I have an issue, I put in a maintainence request and they are there usually that day and it is just wonderful Every time I call the front desk, my needs are taken care of in a timely manner. I love living here

After an excellent tour given by a very professional agent, I was impressed by the apartments and community amenities and the excellent upkeep of the community.

This was a smaller community with full amenities and conveniences.

Unhappy Disable Vet

After living at Carmel Canyon Apts in San Antonio for three years and being a good tenant, paying my rent on time (etc.), I had to move back to Massachusetts, my original home. Due to my health and family situations that needed my immediate attention, I had no choice but to move. In my written 30 day notice to them, I explained all of this.

What I expected from management was a little compassion and understanding. What I got was a letter stating that if I did not pay $1,322.75 for early termination, they would send this to a collection agency. WHAT?? I left on October 31, 2014. My lease was up on January 31, 2015.

You know, flag waving and all that is great, but when a decorated amputee from the Viet Nam war
(2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star recipient) needs help with everyday situations, where are you then?
We feel terrible that this situation played out the way that it did, but are obligated to enforce the community rules and regulations equally for all residents. The basis of those rules and regulations is the lease contract that we review and sign with all lease holders. The terms of that agreement are the only consideration regarding the move out bill/procedure.

We hope that you and your family are in good health and thank you for your service. We just have no discretion to exercise when it comes to enforcing the legal language of the lease contract. Please understand that the staff empathizes with you greatly, but that it is not in our power to change the signed legal agreement between the community and yourself.

Again, we hope that you are well and wish you the best of luck.
