Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Everything is great except there’s a lot of noise in the walls (maybe leaking water?). Sometimes packages are misplaced or I don’t get notified for a week or longer. There also isn’t 24 hr access to coffee machine. I don’t get cell reception in the apartment which is difficult. Also I came back from the airport after midnight this week and my lock was not working. Took about 2 hrs to get in my apartment :( Pricing isn’t great either.

The aparment is loud and dirty. The “ammenities” that were promised to us are always broken. My packages have been lost and food deliveries damaged. The rent is way too expensive for what we are receiving. The tenants are immature and disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

But, the expense is high for retirees on a fixed income.

The building is difficult to navigate. The office person el are not helpful and don’t have great attitudes. For what we pay, we should also have a 24 your concierge. Also, I hear my neighbors baby crying in the unit below me. The building is basically brand new. Why do I have to hear the baby crying at 2am?

This community has everything you would ever need to enjoy your time and entertain. The lounging areas and all the amenities are superior to any other I have seen. It is a beautiful establishment located in the finest area of Austin. There is so much to do and enjoy. The best part is everything is included. There is no additional cost to lease the lounges, paddle boats, or kayaks. Pricing is perfect and worth the exchange.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of our community. We are so glad you love Water Marq as much as we do! Our community does have a lot to offer residents and we would love to have you be a part of our community.

Primary problems that are deal breakers: There is not enough parking for residents. There is inadiquate building material between floors 2-6. Secondary problems: There is not enough parking for guests. Residents treat back lawn as leash free dog park. There are not enough elevators. Windows are insufficient for noise level, esp in the courtyards.

too expensive.

This is by far the worst experience I've had at any apartment I've ever lived in and I would never recommend a place like this to anyone I know

The rules keep getting stricter and the amenities and grounds are not being well maintained (just take a peak in the stairwell, it's gross). I can hear my neighbors and the street quite loudly, so I'd say the building wasn't constructed with great materials.
Thank you for taking the time to review our community, we appreciate your feedback. We understand your frustration with some building cleanliness concerns and occasional disruptive behavior by fellow residents or street noise. These are concerns that we address and continue to manage in order to improve our resident's living experience. Please reach out to us if you have any further feedback or concerns. Thank you again for your valued opinion.

Cleanliness of community areas and party atmosphere are not appealing

Would give it a 9/10 when I first moved in but the place is not kept nearly as nice as it once was.

I want to recommend it to everyone! And I do, its just out of most of my peers' budgets (age 28)

would not, because of the office turn over, and the general rate at which things are being taken care of. The building needs to be proactive at keeping up on amenities instead of reactive.

We have recommended this building to friends already and have had them move in.

We also told our apartment locator that this is an amazing building with excellent staff, and she has since moved in a lot of clients into this building.

If the office staff had not turned over this much, these rating would be higher.

Location is great. Gym is GREAT. Mgmt seems good. Neighbors have been messy lately. I feel like non-residents are parking in our spots - just speculation based on how full it gets at night.
