I wouldnât recommend the Octave based on the residents. So many students, lots of noise, folks behaving in a manner that doesnât respect the property. It honestly feels like living in a Belmont dorm a lot of the time.

The complex smells like weed on the third floor, the walls in the hallway arenât in great shape, and in consistently woken up by the people being loud above me at all hours as well as very loud music below me.

Itâs a great location, the apartment itself is nice. But the majority of residents who live here seem to be young college students (or just out of college) who are not respectful of the community and who feel like they can blast music at all hours of the day, drunkenly run around yelling in the courtyard, and who are generally not very friendly.

The construction is extremely poor. I can hear every step the person above me takes, and if they are wearing shoes then it sounds like they are pounding a hammer on their floor which is my ceiling.

The valet trash situation is bad. Folks struggle with not putting bags on the hallway carpet despite numerous messages from the office team. The trash also stinks up the hallways nearly every night. A more traditional garbage shoot wouldve been a lot cleaner, easier and more sustainable.

The price is very high for a one bedroom. Outside of that, I really enjoy living here. It is exceptional, especially the staff.

With that said, I do want to thank you for the compliments about our community and especially for my staff. I agree, they are exceptional. I understand that you have some reservations on pricing and that you feel that it might be too high. I do always welcome any questions and concerns that residents may have. I would definitely recommend because the office staff is so sweet and they genuinely want you to be happy. Its in a great location! The actual apartment is very nice, updated appliances and high ceilings with beautiful hard wood floors. The only thing that I would caution about is cost of rent being a little high.

My only gripe is that the floors/ceilings are so thin. My upstairs neighbor has woken me up several times in the middle of the night by walking around and rolling in their rolling chair. And I end up being sleep deprived some days.

The location is great, the space is decent, and its new.
A reason I would not is because there are a lot of college students who I have found to be rude and inconsiderate and I have a job and the lifestyle is very different. Also, the people above me are very loud and could care less even though we have asked them to try and be quieter.

First let me personally thank you for taking the time to take our survey. This truly does help us understand how we are treating our residents and where we have room to improve. With that being said I wanted to address the issue of my maintenance staff communicating with you and your roommate and notifying you about entry into your apartment. I can ask them to always call first regardless of permission to enter was given or not. I know they always do announce themselves upon entering but we can give you a call as well. I also wanted to address the noise that you have been experiencing. Please remember that we have a courtesy patrol and Berry hill Police that should be available to you. Also please make sure you bring these issues up to my team otherwise we can't fix what we don't know needs to be repaired. You truly are our eyes and ears on the property. Together, we can let people know bad behavior is not an option. I hope this information is helpful to you and we will let you know here in a few weeks what we will be doing for renewals in August expiration's.
