Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

The staff and community were exceptional. The community was friendly and the building was clean. The few residents I encountered seemed happy to be there.

The agent really carried across the message that the experience of living in this property is like staying in a luxury hotel. It is easy and convenient to call this property home because all the amenities are there, and in addition to having everything practical at your disposal, all the apartments have a great view to the city, river, downtown, and stadiums.

The community was luxurious and quiet and the views from the apartments were spectacular. However, I thought that there was not enough square footage and free amenities for me to recommend to my friends and family. I thought that for the amount of money paid per month that there should have been an indoor pool and spa. The penthouse was very disappointing because it was very small, and had laminate flooring not marble or ceramic tile. It appeared plush, but not overly extravagant like one would envision a penthouse. The porch on the penthouse was also very small. I would feel that my friends and family may be able to get a better value for their money.

From the moment I arrived I felt very comfortable and everyone was offering great service. I did have a little problem with the call box, because I thought I only needed to push the button. However the valet offered assistants and made the call to the office and gave me direction to the leasing office. The lobby was very nice with several paintings on the wall that I liked. The elevators and hallways were nicely decorated and comfortable. I liked the staff and enjoyed the tour. This is a beautiful property and I would love to live in this building.

The community looked nice.

The community is exceptional with the amenities it offers. The leasing representative was professional, engaging, and detailed in their presentation. It is a great package and I would refer friends and family.

The agent and the community were very accommodating.

It's the best place I've seen to live downtown.

Great amenities, great access to all parts of the city, great apartments.
Given there's no room to explain the noise issue, I'll post it here.
The walls must stop near the windows on the uptown side of the building. I recently got a new neighbor. I know many things about her. I know that she talks on the phone and skypes a lot with her mother. I know that she's from Chicago, likes the strip district, is getting used to Pittsburgh, and doesn't quite have the money for a certain piece of furniture. I know that her dog back home is called Lola and that her pet name for it is Lolita, which after being repeated 15 times is maddening.
I've never met this woman. I've learned all of this through my wall.
The walls are perhaps literally paper thin. I am forced to use earplugs when I want to study or read. Can anything be done about this?

Love the Apartment, some customer service could improve

This is now the second time I have received a threatening letter from the apartment complex. The first time, we were out of town and missed paying the rent on the 5th. We had thought the auto payment was set up, and it was not. I paid the 6th, but received a note threatening to evict me? I have never not paid a bill on time in my life and would appreciate more understanding then that. Next, we received another note this week that we are violating our lease terms since we have not provided proof of renters insurance. I provided this when we first moved in but would be happy to provide again. I would just prefer to be asked more politely? We carry a 5 million umbrella policy for liability which MORE than exceeds the standards requested by the complex.
Krissy was the best employee they had working here. She was extremely helpful when we moved in, I do not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from Kelly, though she did do a favor for me and bring my laundry up to my apartment one night, which I sincerely appreciate. The gentleman that works in the office is always very nice and has helped carry boxes up to my apartment that were large.
My only complaint really is the passive aggressive notes left for residents on their door. I would prefer a phone call so that people have the opportunity to have a discussion/interaction.

Love my view!
Do have one complaint currently. The newspaper delivery situation has gotten out of control. Kelsey in Apartment 1014 seems to get the daily newspaper but hasn't picked it up in weeks. It makes it EXTREMELY difficult for other residents to get their paper by having to weed through her old ones. Someone needs to let her know or throw out her old papers so that I can find mine.

I've enjoyed my time at RV immensely.

I'd tell them it provided great apartments - many with great views, great amenities, great location, and good facilities. It might be more than an apartment in the 'burbs, but it's worth it.

I have additional comments regarding two points below. The portion of the walls between the apartments at the windows appears to be thin. I can hear my neighbors clearly at that location, and I expect that they can hear me.

While "community" in any large apartment building is difficult to achieve, I've not gotten to know many of my neighbors. I'm surely partially to blame and I'm not sure how it could be achieved - maybe a montly happy hour in the lounge? - but that's why I put it as average.

While it's not isolated below, Stone has been a welcome and significant addition. Their food is great, their hours convenient, and their staff engaging and polite. Big thumbs up.

its great community but the leasing office need to get good as the community

it is great community, the parking people are great and nice and they do there work very professional. the leasing office are not as the others before i signed the leas they told me things and after that i saw nothing. for example, they told me about the lounge that it is 24h open, but after that the lounge opened at 8am and closed at 5pm and and in sun is closed all the day which am at work from 8-5. another thing they told me that there is water at the gym but after that they toke the water from there and the stamps as well, so i felt that they deal with me in unprofessional way

The community was quite impressive. It was all that one would want and expect from city living.
