Neighborhood, city noise

I feel safe here

Allie Summer moved into the building because of me. She came to visit and then moved in a few months later.

I love the staff, the apartment, and the views. I feel there could be more in way of amenities (roof access or a similar outdoor area access would be great, I know the building has areas like this that aren't accessible).

Again, the noise at night is too much

The building needs some TLC. The neighborhood needs to reopen a bit before I would recommend.

The office personnel. Victor and Rorie. I only request repairs because it doesn't involve contact with them. They don't know how to provide customer service.

The price for the value we are currently receiving doesn’t match up.

See above. While I LOVE my unit, the loudspeakers outside make it impossible. We anticipated noise since the bars are right across the street, we were not awaRe of daily loudspeakers from 7-4am during the week.

It all has changed dramatically since we first moved in several years ago. It had a comfortable "club" feeling atmosphere- the ONLY thing that is acceptable in the lobby are the Herrmann paintings. I think they are taken for granted.

I only would for the referral discount and to have friends in the building that I know respect others and property,

The only very serious problem is the late hour noise made across the street on Spring and not being able to peacefully sleep. I would not be able to recommend any real friends or family for that reason although i have accepted it .
All else is a pleasure at the Lofts .

Diversity of neighbors, friendliness of staff and neighbord... would not: no storage space (small closets, no bike storage), outdated windows and appliances, would not wax floor of our apartment (we have a dirty looking painted floor).
Thank you for your review. We're very happy to see that you are pleased with your neighbors, our staff and the neighborhood.
Loft living can be an adjustment for some people. But there are many fun and creative ways to address those concerns in a Loft - and we're always happy to share ideas and solutions that have worked brilliantly for other residents who were initially concerned about closets and storage!
Living in an Historical building can also be an adjustment, but many people find that the oversized windows, high ceilings, open floor plans, and architectural details are well worth it.
If the specific loft you're in isn't meeting your needs, please contact our leasing office, as we are upgrading some units this year with wood flooring and slate tile - and if street noise is a concern, there are lofts facing the internal courtyard that will resolve that for you as well.
Again, we appreciate your feedback!

Living at the Loft is one of the best DTLA apartment community for affordable space and square feet! The security is exceptional, like none others, always available 24/7 and receive your packages. Maintenance is always available at your request. I personally have never had any concerns with the staff, for they have been professional out of the 4 years I’ve lived here!
Thank you for your review! We're so happy to hear that you love living at Lofts at the Security Building.
