I have only lived in the building for 2 months. However, I have lived in DTCA for 3.5 years. By far, Lofts at Security is the most accommodating apartment community I have lived in. The entire process, from applying, to filling out paperwork, to getting keys, was the easiest I have ever experienced. I also love the ability to pay rent online.

The community was clean, and its upkeep was notable. The leasing professional was friendly and welcoming, and came across as talented. The leasing professional remembered my needs and preferences, and exhibited a level of engagement that was impressive. The leasing professional's attempt to relate the home to my needs and preferences was customized, and their presentation of the community was admirable. Based on my experience, the thought of calling this community home was comforting. I felt that what the property offered in exchange for the rental rate was reasonable. I envisioned the quality of life here based on the amenities and features offered as being complete.

We would state the good and the bad and have them decide.
eg: price is good, most of the Consierge is very friendly and make you feel secure. Amenities are not the best but will do. Leasing office staff is nice with signing the lease and there after any verbal request and what they will follow up with or even have someone else follow up with is forgotten.

I have not recommended the building to friends for several reasons. I don't like that the lobby is cleaned daily but that the upstairs halls are rarely clean. The amenities are few and often not working properly. Staff makes promises of upgrades that don't happen, such as the second floor business center. I still have emails where staff says they were just awaiting the arrival of a new computer and then everything would move to the second floor. A year later we realize that was a bald faced lie.

As you mention, our main common areas including the ground floor lobby, 2nd floor amenities, laundry rooms, trash rooms and the exterior perimeter of the building are all cleaned every day. As is typical in a high-rise building, the remaining floors and stairwells are cleaned on a rotational basis - with 3-4 floors and stairwells cleaned each day. This ensures that every floor is cleaned a minimum of once per week. As I'm sure you are aware, we provide a 24hr front desk attendant, so if you ever see something that requires cleaning, please let our front desk know and they will ensure it is taken care of right away.
Our fitness center equipment is new and in good working order, the pool table and televisions are also in good condition and in good working order. If you know of a specific issue, please let us know and we will absolutely address it.
As was recently communicated, the renovation of the second floor lobby is scheduled for completion this year. The announcement last year was to let residents know what was planned for 2015. There are several phases to such a project, which unfortunately can take quite a while before the actual work takes place. After speaking with several designers and reviewing numerous proposals, we have entered into an agreement with a fantastic Los Angeles-based designer who is now putting together a team to perform the work. We anticipate renovation to begin in June 2015.

Nice, safe building with good amenities. Not rent controlled or stabilized, so your rent will increase 8-10% a year. It is still very affordable for downtown though.
