If you're planning to rent at bulverde oaks, please take a minute to read this.. This is not about the facility, maintenance, trash, parking, or anything of that kind, it's about discrimination. Bottom line is that I was kicked out of my apartment with my family in bulverde oaks after one month simply because my downstairs neighbors could not tolerate my 2.5 years toddler footsteps. This might have been the most ironic thing I ever had to say, but it's the mere truth. We're a family of 3, me, my wife (both health care professionals) and a 2.5 years toddler. We moved to a second floor at Bulverde oaks after relocating from dallas where we also lived on the 2nd floor and never had issues. My son sleeps from 8 pm to 8 am. During the day, sometimes he walks quickly or runs.. its a kids thing, but never jumps or plays ball or anything of that kind. The very next day after we first moved, we received a written notice, I almost thought this got to us by mistake(which it wasnt), I called the leasing office and explained that ww just moved, and that my son is a child being a child and that after 8 pm it's always a complete silence in our apartment. Few days later, I get a call asking about noise from my son at 2 pm! Again, explain what's going on and promise to control him more, but who can really stop a 2.5 years old boy from moving?. Of course almost every time my son moves, downstairs neighbor start banging on their ceiling and our boy literally freaks out. Anyways, a week or 2 later, I get one more notice that I am violating my lease terms, and I have to get the noise under control.. and yes I am still talking about toddlers footsteps during the day! My wife went to the leasing office, talked to them for a while, promised them that we will do whatever it takes to stop our son from moving! And that's what we did.. although the apartment is carpetted, we bought extra mats to cover all the areas he moves in, and we literally started physically stopping him when he moves fast....Exactly 2 days later, we receive a notice to vacate within 9 days for violating the lease terms due to disturbing the comfort, Health, and safety of other residents!(I just started a new job, my wife's first day at her job was 2 days after we received the notice, and my son was starting at the daycare right next door the following week). We freaked out and called the leasing office. The response was from the assistant manager, who was the one to issue all these notices to us and who enjoyed the pleasure of kicking the noisy kid with his family out, she said "we gave you a month to get things under control but you did nothing. Your neigbors have been recording for you and we have it all. And for the record, we were going to give you 3 days to vacate, but we decided to extend it to 10 days". This "assistant manager" has managed to get a family with a little boy to suffer, and retaliated because they were asking for their rights. But you know what? I believe in God, and God is fair.. so what goes around comes around..sooner or later.

they need to improve in all areas

it is not a pleasure

The community amenities were very appealing. The upkeep of the common areas showed they had pride in their community. The leasing professional that assisted me was very talented and her level of engagement was very impressive. I felt very comfortable with my experience and I would recommend this location to others.

The apartment had high quality laminated floors, updated cabinetry, a large kitchen island and granite counter tops. I left with an overwhelming desire to be a part of the community. I began thinking about leaving my current apartment at the end of my lease to move there. The leasing professional was very helpful and friendly.

Great place but...

Staff and amenities are very nice! They have everything you could ask for in an apartment, even a doggie area ( but no playground for kids...) the place is nice except for the constant construction! They have redone the paving of the parking lot twice already, and both times it took a couple days. We had to park near the front office ( our building is in the back) because there was no parking... Which is a hassle because we pay rent here. Sleeping in? Forget it -- construction will wake you up. The apartments are nice inside but are cheaply bought and made. The brochure they give you is total nonsense- there is no nature walking trail..on top of that the management likes to leave pesky notes at your door at least twice a month reminding you of the rules, but never enforcing them. When we moved here they said that there was a security guard, well been here for about a year and haven't seen such a thing. They recently left a pesky note stating that they hired a new security guy--- maybe because the other one never did his job or showed up. We moved here because it was close to work and the staff was welcoming. Of course, by the time you consider moving here hopefully the construction will be complete ( but like I said every few months they start on something else)

Based on how I was treated by the agent while I was with them, I would have rented this place if they had a one bedroom/one bath Red Oak unit on the first floor available, with the stipulation that a garage was close to the apartment and a carport was available for both my cars.

The amenities that the community offered were great and up to date since the community opened less than a year ago. It was perfect for my current lifestyle and met all of my needs. The property upkeep was very nice. The pool had a few leaves but it has been very windy lately so I understand. The leasing professional was amazing and possibly one of the best I have had. It was hard to ask any questions because she covered every question or concern during her demonstration. I was truly sold on the apartment community and I would love to live there. The prices were reasonable and I would not mind paying them for what I would be receiving. The community was everything that I was looking for and I was truly satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.

I was not impressed with the customer service any of the staff provided except for the maintenance man who was very nice. I thought the prices were too high for the quality I would be receiving. The landscaping was not very good and it looked to me that most of the plants were dying. The amenities and the office were very clean and inviting.

I was very impressed with this property and the likelihood that I would make it my home is very high. The community was clean and fresh, and the landscaping is very nice and well maintained. The outside curb appeal was very welcoming, and it made me even more interested in seeing what he community had to offer. From the moment I entered the clubhouse, I was impressed with the decor and openness. The leasing professional was inviting. I was impressed with her presentation, poise and professionalism. It was an exceptional tour based on all my past experiences.

I was impressed with how much of the nature was kept, and the apartments were being built around the surroundings.

It is a very nice new property. Kim did a great job which could have been complimented by the other two employees. The rate sheet was a photo copy and did not match the quality of the brochure.

I would give the agent high marks: professional, knowledgeable, polite and made me feel he genuinely cared about me. I was impressed by the layout of the apartment. Entry is through a short hallway with dark wooden floors laid diagonally. Most impressive is the openness with accessibility to all the areas.

There is no place like this community. It's in a class all by itself! I would love to call this place home.

I like the option of having a stand up shower that comes with a bench. I would like to move there with my grandmother who needs that type of shower for easier accessibility rather than a large tub.
