Don't even apply here if you have ever been arrested. (It doesn't matter if your case was dropped.)
Had the misfortune to be arrested in 2009. Case dropped. No trial. Not guilty.
Applied to this place in 2013. I was told my application was denied and that the reason was I had a criminal record in California. I've seldom been in California and have never been arrested there.
Supplied my driver's license on a Thursday afternoon and was told I would "hear back within the hour". Left an email and a voicemail on the Friday. Stopped by the office on the Saturday and was told, "We haven't received your email."
Re-mailed on the Saturday. Called on the Monday. Was told I'd get a call back that day. Called again on the Tuesday and was told I'd been declined due to my criminal record in CA. Told them I don't have a criminal record in CA (I'd checked). On hold for twenty minutes. Told I was turned down because of my criminal record in FL.
Replied that I was arrested but never tried in FL. Was told that it doesn't matter. I'd been arrested. That was all that was needed to decline me.
Perfect credit, perfect rental history but one arrest (with no trial, far less a conviction) and Hue at Cityplace will turn you down.
Save yourself the application fee.
