The community at Oak Run is nestled in what I would call the end of the North Dallas decadence. It is a stone's throw from the Addison, TX city limits. Oddly, though, the OR apartments are far from what should be expected in this area.

I moved here this spring and took the place because it seemed to be a good bargain. The monthly lease was fairly small, and the apartment I was shown was clean. Within two months, the REAL community came to the surface. Management here isn't disrespectful, but they will most certainly do the least that they can whenever one makes a complaint.

The neighbors are usually quiet and they keep to themselves. Most are not friendly, though they WILL share the pungent aroma of marijuana with you on a nightly basis! My apartment allows my neighbors' illegal smoke to leave my entire bedroom smelling like a fun, topless bar in Amsterdam! This happens regularly.

The community USED to boast of a gated entry...until a careful Texas driver made certain to drive over the gate pass regulator. Now, the main entry point stays open and accessible to anyone who wants to make a surprise visit into the community. This hasn't been corrected for almost a month.

I would never have leased an apartment here, had I been able to study this area more closely before relocating to Dallas. My advice is that you think deeply about making this place your home. I am terrified of cockroaches, but, wow...cockroaches are suddenly here. Maybe I WILL conquer this petty fear. Thanks, Oak Run!
