RIDICULOUS

RUN AWAY!!! It is terrible to think that the last seven months of living at Marina Pointe has jaded my whole experience of two years and three months. It always had problems with its management not getting on issues, but it went down hill fast with the new management company. The property manager acts like she cares then never makes an effort to correct problems until you call the fourth time and let her know you have reached your ticked off edge. Informed that during military clause i needed to put in a written notice but told to wait till i had orders even when telling her I knew my last day. Orders came and she received them next day. She informed me I was four days over the thirty so I would be prorated $150. I spoke with management company stating all the maintenance problems and the fact that if you report an emergency she states she will get on it and doesn't even inform maintenance for three days until you call back upset. They told me that I would not be charged and this obviously angered property manager. So a month after moving we receive a bill, coincidentally, for $150. Said carpet had two stains and there were stickers on wall in bathroom. She informed us we were allowed to have carpets cleaned everytime we renew lease. Asked if we could make this happen and she informed us it was so close to moving that she wouldn't do it. The apartment we lived in is scheduled to have the ten year old carpet that stunk like smoke when we moved in, replaced by hard wood. But are still being charged for carpet that is not even in apartment after we moved out. Ultimately her idea is to screw you every way possible to make a quick buck. $200 Sure deposit is just an illusion to make money, actually covers nothing. I do not have words to describe my distain for the group running this place. Good size floor plans do not make up for the true band-aids put up to dress up a pig. And all the cost of these band-aids are being passed straight to the renters. All these window dressings are being done on your time without a twenty four hour notice. You will find a note on your door telling you they will be there the next morning to do X... and you need to prepare your apartment for their arrival. Thank goodness for military orders to get out six months sooner than lease dictated. Good luck if you choose this place without reading from large groups of people that have shared the same experience. Sorry if this is the only place you can find to live, I guess there are worse places.
