Really money sucking apartment
I would have loved to give it no stars at all but 1 star is the minimum we can give. The experience in this place till the final month was average. It is not a great apartment to live in with really old appliances. Our dishwasher actually broke and I had to go through a maintenance trouble for almost a week. The water heat had problems for 2-3 times and also the plumbing. Thankfully their maintenance department is decent which made the situation a bit less horrifying. Tanasbourne area is really awesome that's why my overall living experience comes to an average.
In the last month however i hated this place so much that I am dying to get out of here.They are sucking every possible dollar out of me. I had an automatic payment setup so that I did not have to worry about the rent payment. Now for the last month they jacked up the online payment system. They claim to have informed this to me by posting a note on my door which I never received. They had emailed that notice to me but the real message was in the attachment and not in the mail. It obviously looked like a spam mail they send every now and then so I overlooked it. I came to know about this after looking at my bank account. I promptly contacted them only one day after the payment end day but the lady "Cyndy" in the office charged me $100 fine for that. While I was in the office around 3 people had called and the staff responded rudely to them. 100 bucks is not a piece of cake and you have to be considerate knowing your payment system got jacked up.
The leasing office sent me letters to renew the lease after such bad service but never mentioned me about a 30 day notice period before vacating or else the lease renews with the Landlord rate. Thankfully I was in the office just 30 days prior to my lease termination. The lady "Cyndy" again decided that she will count the days from the next day and charged me an extra $50 for the day after lease. Am I leasing a hotel or something? In addition to this they are charging me a $50 carpet cleaning fee and I do not know how much more. Hopefully I will be able to get out of here without having to file bankruptcy.
