I have renewed my lease for the 3rd time. The property is well run. Staff is responsive to issues and my neighbors are quiet. In fact the whole complex is quiet. Not sure where the one who keeps writing bad reviews lives but I have neer experienced any of the issues they are citing. Seems most people here have been here thru more than 1 lease and I know n my building everyone was here or moved in the same year I did. If people are unhappy they should leave but in my knowledge most have been here 2 or more years. I like my apartment.....we would like the pool to get opened but do understand their are issues.

Great Features and Excellent Landlord
I have been here almost 3 years and absolutely LOVE it. I have been renting apartments and houses for over 50 years and this is the most peaceful and enjoyable apartment/ townhouse I have rented. Melinda is the best landlord I have seen. Her response and action to any issues is always resolved immediately and completely. I LOVE it here!!!!

Judging from the negativity I would think that there is a person seeking vengeance in this forum. I find Chesneywoods to be good for the money and a nice quiet environment with responsive maintenance/management. Certainly I have lived in some really bad apartments. Compared to them Chesneywoods scores much higher. I do wish they could come up with a solution to stop the kids from behind us cutting
through. But other than that I have had no complaints with staff or neighbors.

I 100% agree with the know before you go review. Very well said and truthful. She management keeps responding the truthful comments. The comments that are not in favor of the property. The last 2 reviews also sounds like her. Compared the news letters and her words.

The setting of this complex is wonderful. Close to everything but I feel like I am living in the woods. Management ensures maintenance issues are taken care of and I have never had to wait more than a couple of hours for maintenance to show up and fix the issue. Management does try and keep on top of complex issues which I appreciate. I beleive this certainly is the reason the complex is quiet. I have renewed 3 times now and am happy that I continue to have the same neighbors during this time. Although there are some move outs for the most part I notice that the complex is full of people who have been here 2, 3 or more years. I beleive this alone says alot about how the complex is run. Anyway I plan on staying here until such time I can afford to buy a house. Usually with cheaper rent communities you have alot of issues. This is not the case here. The price is right and I feel comfortable and love coming home and I really love the nice days when I can sit on my patio and enjoy the quietness nature.

Kitchens are small but they were small when I viewed the home so I do not know what the issue with the kitchen is. Its not like they came and took space after you moved in. I have found management to be so much better than any place I have lived at. She does address issues as they arise to help ensure that the place is comfortable to live and whenever I have had an issue in my home maintenance came the same day to take care of it. The water is through the city of Concord so why would it be the fault of management? The only issues I have here are with neighbors who trash the front of their homes and irreponsible pet owners. I would bet this place is quiet because of management with their screening process and attention to matters as they arise. The price reflects the age of the property. Certainly you can rent a new place with newer applicances but you will also pay 2 to 300 more a month. I find it a good deal for the price. A very good place to call home, I feel safe and am never bothered with noisy neighbors. My home was very clean, freshly painted and very presentable at the time I moved in. The home is what you make it.

the apartments are not well planned kitchen is very small heating and ac is very old very costly property manager is very rude pushes her opinions and values on you very quiet complex lots of wildlife water is no good

I have to agree with the last 2 reviews. Expect the snakes lol nothing can be done about that.. The apartments, location, privacy are worth the pricing. Living areas are small, appliances are not really updated, most if not all of the walls/doors have numerous visible minor/major fixings, but its all manageable and comfortably livable.
Management on the other hand whewww, I'll say this to keep it clean and nice. I have no respect for her and I will not treat her the way she has treated me..I can only speak on my experiences with her and no one else (Jesus will fix it one day). Housing authorities are aware.
If you decided to live here just know any major/minor maintenance complaints/issues you may have with management, it will be your fault to her and the owner. She will express her non knowledgeable views and not in a professional manner and she isnt always truthful at times. But its mainly only her, the owner isnt here daily because he has other business to run and he relies on her to tell him situations/incidents which are her views ONLY. Which its her boss/owner she's not going to tell the bad on herself and she has a persona to keep with him. Just hope you get the voice mail and document every encounter with her and you may want to consult an attorney about tenant rights prior if it gets bad. Once you sign the lease you have to stick it out. Other than management (her) this (the property) is a pleasant place to live...
The NEW Maintenance however is wonderful!!! He listens to your concerns, He does not patch it, cover it up, he fixes it no matter how long or what it takes, he fixes it!! I am I thankful for him and I do not worry when I have a maintenance issue anymore. I truly feel he deserves to be at a property where he can grow.
I wish I would have known about this forum and the truthful bad experiences prior to moving here. I would have taken them into consideration and at least have known before choosing to live here. Everyone has their own experiences good or bad.

I signed my lease here at Chesney Woods four months ago and am very pleased
The staff is personable and prompt in addressing concerns. I have never waited more than over night for a maintenance issue to be taken care of. When I moved in the place was very clean. I have not seen 1 unexpected pest in my home. The grounds are kept nicely as well. There is never a problem with ample parking.

We have been living here for around 8 months now and have been happy the entire time. I love the smaller community and the fact that we're surrounded by woods; you can hear all sorts of birds and crickets even during the day!

I love the townhome set up; we've almost never had any noise troubles from surrounding neighbors - in fact everyone is either very friendly or just kept to themselves. We've even had fun little decorating competitions during the holidays that are great to participate in. Any "community issues" such as dogs using the bathroom outside and not being cleaned up have been tactfully managed by the owners here.

Any maintenance issues brought up have been dealt with within a matter of an hour or two which is fantastic. The pool really is well taken care of, and there's also some nice little paths into the woods that have been fun to explore. The back patio space is generous and great.

It is also very affordable to live here; we've had no problems. The only "complaint" I can report is that we've had some trouble with a temperamental oven that doesn't like to heat up super well, and every now and then we've needed help fixing our upstairs toilet (never anything major at all.)

It's not some huge sprawling space, but it is perfectly adequate for three adults and a happy kitty (who loves all the bird watching!) and we're all happy here. For the price and the placement it really is awesome.

Lived here since September of 2013. The apartments are affordable and quality. Always a quick response from maintenance should any issues arise. Sizeable bedrooms and a great view from the patio!

It is quiet, the property is well taken care of, maintenance issues are dealt with on the same day reported, management has worked with me during hardships when I could not pay my rent on time. I enjoy my large patio and the pool is well maintained as well. The kitchen is small but I knew that coming in but all the other areas are a good size. The fact that they are townhomes is very appealing as you do not have anyone living above you. I have never been bothered by my neighbors. Management screens everyone so there seems to be good people residing here and no drama. I always recommend others and I like the fact that we are kinda secluded and that it is a small complex. Happy here and strongly recommend this property.

I have lived here for the last 4 years. I really enjoy my home. Management and Maintenance are quick (same day)to address any issues.I have lived at numerous complexes and this is the first one where I feel totally safe and the only one where management is involved ensuring that we all follow the rules. Was shocked to see the other reviews as I have nothing but good to say about staff. Sure the complex is older but certainly the rents reflect that but in any event they are kept up nice, As far as snakes go personally I have never seen one BUT we are on a wooded lot and we are in the south so this is a non issue. If you are having a bug issue you need to let the office know as the pest guy is on premises every month

The property manager of these townhomes and various other properties should be removed and never work as a property manager again. The windows of my rental were filthy despite requests for them to be cleaned. She was continually entering my rental 1-2x's/week. She provided notice but it was always at closing for first thing in morning. She would then evaluate the space on cleanliness, burned out lightbulbs, etc and then cite me claiming violation of lease. Maintenance requests were either refused or "sort of fixed."
I was never late in my rent and always accommodating to the never ending requests and demands.
The owner needs to pay attention and recognize he is losing tenants and not re-renting spaces because of her harrassment and unprofessional attitude and demeanor.

The living space is small, especially the kitchen. The apartment isn't well structured, walls are thin and old. The appliances in the kitchen are old and dated. Some residents have dogs that poop on the premises, management knows and doesn't enforce residents to pick up their dogs feces, so you won't step in it. There all kinds of critters that reside in the apartment with you such as waterbugs, big spiders and silverfish. There has been a snake slithering on the premises. The management doesn't take care of the property as they should. You can't have a friendly conversation with management regarding the apartment, management is rude, disrespectful, and very unprofessional.
