How do you like to spend almost $2,000 a month to live next to pot smoking neighbors who scream and fight all night while your other neighbors are asking you to call the police because they have just been broken into for the 4th time? That is our experience at Kingsboro Apartments in Buckhead. It has become an unsafe, scary, and uncomfortable place to live. I now check my car every time I walk out to it for vandalism before I drive off. We have lived here for just over a year and moved in because the apartments and property are well maintained and updated. We like the staff and amenities. And during the tour you will never hear or see any of these issues. It's Buckhead after all! However there have been at least 4 burglaries (3 on my floor) since we moved in. One kicked in the back door of my neighbor and another came through the front door. My wife and I had asked repeatedly for a broken door leading into the building to be replaced or repaired and it wasn't for months. Our newest next door neighbors are a couple who smoke so much pot that it permeates the hallway and seeps through the walls making our bedroom unsleepable. The smell gives us headaches and makes hurts our eyes. We have asked, complained, and even threatened the management about fixing these issues. This morning we contacted a law firm about how to get out of our lease. The lease agreement we signed clearly states that tenants are forbidden from creating noxious smells in their apartment or performing illegal activities. This place has decided what kind of tenants they want, and we are not those kind of tenants.
