Proceed with caution
I have lived here for three years & loved everything about the neighborhood until recently. The association hired new management & they are extremely rude, and treat me with disrespect every time I speak to them. With the new management came new rules as well. I had originally signed the lease with my landlord through the property management company. After the first year, she asked if I wanted to just deal with her & so I said sure. I didn't see any reason that would be a problem. I added a tenant on to the lease with her and he has lived here for a year and a half. He has been kicked out because their new rules don't allow you to have any sort of past mistakes in your life. I understand keeping out bad, violent people. I really do. I don't understand kicking someone out that the owner has met & approved, because your new rules say that a person cannot have a marijuana conviction in the last 10 years. With that being said, I suggest reading all of the guidelines before you give them your $75 background check fee.
So after the tenant moved out & told them he would show proof of his electric bill somewhere else, My landlord & I are both being harassed about this ex-tenant being a visitor. Apparently visitors cannot stay for longer than 48hours anymore without being "registered" with the office, & can stay a maximum of 60 days/year. Yesterday my landlord received notice that the "guest" has been here longer than 60 days. Well obviously he has....he was an approved tenant up until you guys kicked him out. It hasn't even been 30 days since the rules changed, so that doesn't make sense at all. This notice told my landlord that my guest would be reported as trespassing if anyone suspects he has 1 more overnight visit. & that I would be evicted as well.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to deal with things like this when I am a busy college student who also works. I am a good, respectful person and get along with alot of the neighbors around me. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. I have told my family, friends & co-workers so they are aware if ever looking for a place to rent. I am not writing this review to bash them. I simply want to warn people of the things that go on in here. Trust me, look elsewhere!!
