Live Literally Anywhere else

I moved in back in 2012 when the complex was called City Lights and owned by a different company. In 2014 Griffis took over and it has been a complete downward spiral, the only reason I still live here is because I'm on my last year of rotations for school and essentially am never here and needed a place to keep my stuff that was cheap. Since Griffis took over they have been nothing but unacceptable to their tenants, doing "fire alarm tests" that last 30 min long, imagine getting ready to the sound of screeching alarms at 9am. Great way to start your day! NOT. There is also a MAJOR bug issue. In the 2 years I lived in this exact apartment while it was owned by City Lights I never saw a bug, but since Griffis has taken over they are everywhere! In the contract they have a claus where you can get free pest control services anytime you want, I've had them come in 3 times now and zero improvement. There are huge spiders in my room almost monthly and we even had a cockroach in our fridge. AND WE ARE ON THE SECOND FLOOR! I shutter to think what the first floor has to deal with. The stair wells have become so disgusting from lack of upkeep from management that it is almost unbearable to walk up to get to my apartment. I guarantee they only clean the hallways and stair leading to the display units. On top of the disgusting state that the entire complex is in, the staff is awful. There is either no answer from the leasing office when you call because they are "out of the office on a tour" or they hang up on you because they have to go on their lunch break. There is also a severe lack of parking. When City Lights was here there was always a spot to park, now that they have taken over they rent the spots to random ice cream trucks and towing beds so there are not even enough spaces for the tenants. Their suggestion is to buy a spot for a monthly price, or park down the road at a shopping center and walk home from there. I have never been so appalled with a change in management. Live LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!

Cant wait until my lease so I can move!!!

I agree with you 100%.  The staff was absolutely AMAZING when it was Citylights prior to it being sold to Griffis in April.  I was told that the new staff is supposed to be stellar when it comes to customer service and this is so far from the truth. The staff is a JOKE, extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming with the exception of Rachel who they were allowed to keep when the property was sold.  I cant get a return call to have a simple question answered and when I go into the office I get brushed off and told they will contact me.  When our lease renews in order to stay it our current unit we will have to pay close to a $600 increase in rent which I think is absurd for an apartment.  The grounds are not kept as clean as it was with the previous owners, there is dog poop everywhere we step...with the previous owners you could call to report this and they would send someone immediately to clean it up, now you don't see it cleaned up until they decide to have the grass mowed.  We've reported a couple of minor maintenance issues that under the previous owner would have been resolved within the same day...it's been several weeks and we still haven't seen our issues addressed.  We've been here since the complex opened and it saddens us that now under new owners we will be having to move.  They are charging Stapleton prices for a neighborhood that doesn't even compare.  HORRIBLE!!!!!  If I could give them negative stars I would.

Was great until new owners

This place was great until Griffis Residential bought them, and got rid of all the good staff. Now the place is awful, dirty, and I cannot wait to leave. People leave full trash bags outside their doors for days, some had a dog that messed all over the stairs and it took multiple calls and several days for the maintenance group to clean it up. And don't waste your money on a paid parking spot, if someone parks in it and the office is closed, you can't do anything about it. Cannot wait to move out of this apartment.
