I would compare the volume level of the AC to having a commercial leaf blower running in your living room. Be certain to ask to hear the AC units while viewing a unit prior to leasing. I would specifically ask to hear the AC of the unit you are renting. While not my only disappointment with this property, the air conditions in units are extremely loud - to the extent that you need your tv volume on 100% just to begin to hear your tv and you can forget about having a regular volume conversation with the AC running.
