The source of my dissatisfaction with this complex lies not in the complex itself, but with the corporate management company. Overall the Avalon Mountain View has been a pretty nice place to live over the past year, with a good location, excellent staff, nice pool, and decent parking. Only noted issues over the past year have been loud upstairs neighbors/thin-creaky floors, a neighbor who smoked with their door open & $50 a month pet rent which seems a bit exorbitant on top of the $500 pet deposit.

However, I feel it is my responsibility to caution other renters that this complex's corporate management cares nothing for tenant retention rates, & a 15% Annual rent renewal increase is to be anticipated. Sure I guess that's fine if you have mountains of disposable income lying around, however for the average young professional who doesn't feel the compulsion to move every year it can come as a bit of a nasty surprise.
