Reviews

Parkwood, Irvine a good place to live

Parkwood Apartments is a nice community for children. The down side: they do allow dogs here so you will need to watch where your kids run because it’s not always clean, but they do try. We live at the far end and there is always parking on the end where I live, but I notice parking gets a little tight up near where the 3bdroom units are located. We get one assigned car port and the open spaces are first come, first served (with parking permit) and they are one of the few communities left that have a car wash station. The office staff is responsive about taking care of lights out, noise complaints, etc. It’s really pretty quiet. This is NOT a party complex. There is a lot of storage space in the units. The upper units have a bit more space than the downstairs. I guess it’s to make up for having a smaller patio. Things I don’t like: I HATE how there is NO deck space in the bathroom except around the sink and also I’m not a fan of the white tile and grout counters they have in the kitchen. I enjoy having a large private patio for storage or for BBQ’s. The rooms are spacious. They have mirrored wardrobe doors so it makes it feel even more so. They have used the space well inside. There is a closet large enough to fit the vacuum and the upper unit has a little nook in the kitchen that’s good fit for a trash can- but this is missing in the downstairs units. I love the greenbelts and trees throughout. Even though one side of the complex sits on a fairly traveled street, its mostly traveled during the day so you still have your peace at night. There are a number of clothing care centers and they work on a laundry card system- no coins. Nice! They do well on the up keep of the pools and landscaping. We have lived here for going on 3yrs now. It's not the newest, not a lot of upgrades here but I find it quite enjoyable.
