Security is the biggest reason I would not recommend Valdok otherwise it's a great place.

Units are poorly insulated. I can hear everything going on in the apartments on both sides as well as below. I can also consistently hear people on the roof. There is also a consistent smell of marijuana coming from numerous other units, filling the hallway and even leaking into my apartment through the ceiling fan and walls in closet.

Expensive. Security can be iffy at times. Outside doors malfunction often. Cleanliness of general areas not always good. I know that tenants often may not care but it is sad to see general areas in bad shape. The outside sidewalks and areas should be cleaner.

Communication from management, particularly with regards to repairs and security, has been non-existent. The potential exists for a 'great' community and living experience but it has not been fostered at Valdok.

Way too expensive for such a tiny apt, parking is ridiculous.

Only if they were wealthy and did not use the amenities. Again it is very frustrating to bring things to the attention of staff and be ignored.

I had a great impression of this property. It was in a great location in the northwest by the 15th and Market area. It was a nice community area with great shopping. They were newer apartments are on both sides of the street. I loved the entryway and definitely appreciated the staff I interacted with during my visit; all were very helpful and very service oriented. I liked the interior of the apartment with its nice decor, view, stainless steel appliances, and floor plan. Comparing this property to other properties, the roof terrace was gigantic and had grills and seating areas; I would spend much time there as a resident. The downstairs amenities were not up to the par that I saw of some other apartments today, but the roof terrace was really a grabber.
