Overall enjoy
Living on the bottom floor I hear the people above me constantly which is a major turnoff will be considered when deciding if we will re-sign our lease. I enjoy being by the lake and am glad businesses are starting to open up near the complex, otherwise the location can be a little out of the way.
Great location and queit
I like the location-its super close to White Rock and is very quiet. The construction isnt intrusive which is good-I would recommend it

I thought the community had great curb appeal. I noticed roof workers on top of one of the buildings fixing a roof, which was a good sign about property maintenance being important. The office staff were friendly, although I feel they are in a cramped office space.

The agent did a great presentation of the property. She was very professional in her presentation. The apartment was to small for the money they are asking, but their community itself was nice. I would like a lot more space.

Horrible - I Dispise This Place
The people here are disrespectful, especially management (Jackie especially). People leave their trash out for days when they know it isn't going to be picked up and it smells rancid. No one picks up after their dogs so they put ugly looking "poop stations" up near the entrance of my building. Not only is it unsightly and embarrassing when I have company over, it hasn't changed the fact people are still too lazy to pick up after their dog. I always have issues with management and the person who comes to "fix" things never leaves a note so I have no idea if anyone even attempts to fix the issues in my place. I cannot stand this place. If I didn't love my actual apartment so much I would've moved out the week I moved in.
I would really love it if someone would put MY review of this place on the website, Winsted has around 40 reviews (all 5 stars...please) and none even seem to come from people living in this disaster.

The community was in an envious location, near all of the shopping and dining that was located near the Lakewood area. It was quaintly located off of the main roads. It was nicely maintained. The apartment was an excellent value. It had a high-end feel at a reasonable price. The leasing professional was happy to assist. They were helpful in assisting me in finding the right apartment.

Great place to live for the most part...
It's a great place, great location. You need to look out for dog poop because it's everywhere. I've been here for almost 3 years and am being forced to move out or "go somewhere else" so that my apartment can be renovated. Very frustrating! At least the pool is open this Summer, it was closed all last summer to be redone. It looks great, but another frustrating situation that no one was compensated for.

Winsted at White Rock is a pet friendly community. As with the trash, policies regarding picking up after pets are monitored as closely as possible, and violators are fined.

Reviews posted on this site, as well as others, are genuine comments and remarks noted by current and past residents. Many of the comments are from residents that have lived at Winsted at White Rock since the community was built in 1996. As the manager, I have always had an open door to any and all comments, compliments and complaints. I encourage such feedback as a valuable means to constantly better our residents experience.
