Disappointing upon move-in.

I was disappointed with my move-in as I found several discrepancies that should have been addressed prior to my move-in. The stove was not very clean, I found the control panel had a lot of grease. Another is the refrigerator that is a stainless steel color that has a lot of dents and several scratches. Also pests (roaches) coming out of kitchen and bathroom sinks. Although I informed the "office" of all I found, and provided the information in the inventory sheet; the pest problem was suppose to be handled quickly. Unfortunately, I later learned there was a miscommunication or no communication to the pest control company and controlling the pest was delayed two weeks. I personally cleaned the stove, and have no expectations of the refrigerator being replaced (it works fine, but for the amount of money I pay in rent this place should be flawless!) I have lived in many apartments over the past 27 or so years, and this is the first time I have issues in an upscale apartment community.

Only 2 problems noise/replacement items

So I have been living here for a month so far. And so far everything has been nice its clean and new appliance. The staff is nice and the location is convienenant. The only problem I haveis the noise from the train. Not only can you hear the train you also hear the operator saying park lane 2 cars Apollo night long. Very hard to sleep in although its getting easier with time. I still wish they would have informed me of this by an agent. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Next problem is having to replace your own light bulbs. This may sound petty but I pay a lot of money to live in these apartments. Since I have lived here 3 lights have went out since I have lived here for only a month they should have replaced all the lights before I moved in. Other than that this place is nice well so far.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

Overall, I was very pleased with the community and the leasing agent.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

The apartments were beautiful and the common areas were a major plus. I did feel like the apartments were a little small for the price though. I was impressed by the real granite in the kitchen and real hard wood floors, but I do not think those two special features make the high rent really worth it for the size.

This community had a village feel to it and I appreciated the amenities such as the parking garage that led you up to your floor, cutting out the need for stairs and the interior hallways. The apartments looked very nice and modern with a high class feel.

The community was unique. There were stores dotted throughout the community on the first floors of the building. There were also some unique amenities, such as the coffee and tea bar that was free to the residents.

Very beautiful place to live

The apartment and grounds are beautiful. My place is so lovely and it feels like home. With all that said however, I don't believe it is worth what I am paying. Maintenance is slow, the neighbor noise level is beyond, and there's slow to no response from the office. At my previous apartment complex, I know the manager and she knew me. She made it a point to do so. Maintenance requests were handled swiftly and to my satisfaction. These were usually followed up by an email or phone call to ensure all was well. Mike, my leasing agent, was (is) great, but he is just one person in the overall team.

Wish I could afford a larger apartment

Expensive, but like the fact that it's new and access is restricted. Dislike layout of apartment; have asked to have the hole between the mini triangular room and living areas closed off, but never gotten any response. It's not really a bedroom when it's not completely separated from the rest of the apartment, something I'd expect with a loft, but not with this floor plan. Not enough trashcans outside for dog poop, lots of people don't pick up after their dogs. Signage reminding them of the city law would be helpful. Does raiting "noise" a "1" below mean I agree with the comment? Walls are too thin. Have been locked out of bldg several times when walking pet; a huge hassle when you don't have a cell phone with you, plus office doesn't always answer the phone & it's really upsetting to leave a message when you've been standing outside 10 min. Would be nice to have some retail choices, i.e. an Urban Market-style store. Not enough activities for tenants, no sense of community. Need more onsite storage.
