Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

The community had good curb appeal. The amenities were nice. The apartment was spacious and offered some nice features.

management patch up work

Been living at this Apt for 10months. just waiting for lease to be finish. at least we keep our commitment. The cover might look good but once you read it; up to your discretion. Pricey for meager amenities. The property management Always coming down with something more beneficial for them than the tenants. Big issue is the parking that seems to be getting worse and worse.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience at Altia. I can assure you that we are doing all that we can to address the parking issues within the community. We will continue to look for any and all alternative that we can moving forward.

Dissapointed

Hello! Me and my wife currently live here. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment and pay $1250 plus utilities. ($50-$70/month)

The biggest problem we all have is the parking. We used to have two parking permits, now it's only one permit per one and two bedroom APARTMENTS. The closest spot where we can park is half a mile away. Residents park on grass, fire lanes and next to the dumpsters! There are no more carports available to lease for a monthly fee! Expect your vehicle to be towed, if illegally parked. (well there's nowhere to park if you have two cars: one for you, one for your wife, least to consider...)

Noise. The complex is poorly built! I swear to you that the lady showing us the apartments said "They say these apartments are soundproof" though as I write this review - there's noise coming from both sides of the building! My TV shakes when the dryer is working!!! I walk on the so-called hardwood floor, and I can hear the dishes on the counter top..

Sink leaking and after being fixed, I can barely turn it, since that's the only way for it not to leak. Heater knob was broken and never fixed properly. You can also see the outside light, as you look at the entry door from inside the apartment(before and after being fixed by the maintenance guy).

Club house hasn't had wi-fi for months. I haven't seen one garage around our complex, though it's advertised on the website.

Our only "short-term" lease option was 15 months!!

We are considering to move out early, and I am not paying for early move out, because this is too much!
Thank you for your feedback. We are doing the best we can to resolve the parking issues within the community. We have added 43 additional parking stalls and have assigned at least 1 spot per home. We will continue to look for any and all alternative we can moving forward.

Kind Regards,
Altia Management

Awful place to live

NO PARKING! Finally they came up with a "solution", everyone gets 1 parking space per unit free and you have to pay for additional parking, EXCEPT there's a waiting list because there aren't even enough carports to buy. Ridiculous, most people have more than one car per unit.

Staff is clueless, they don't even have enough decency to give a warm hello when you walk into the office and then they are confused about everything you have to say to them. We were promised a $750 gift card when we moved in within 30 days and didn't receive those until two and half months after we moved in. we had to go complain everyday and hear a new excuse everyday until they finally gave them to us.

The gym is small and usually crowded so I don't enjoy working out there.

The apartment that "are brand new and never lived in" are cheap and fall apart. There is no insulation so it is freezing cold and noisy! really noisy!

Honestly, the ONLY thing I like about living here is the easy access to the freeway. The worst part is parking though. They promised a solution and their "solution" isn't a reasonable or realistic solution. I want out. They should just allow us to break our lease for free because they obviously aren't complying to their side of the lease, that would at least free up 2 parking spaces for residents in need.
JoJo6,
Thank you for your feedback. In an effort to improve our parking situation we have added 44 additional parking spaces within the community. In order to ensure that every apartment home has at least one reserved space to come home to the transition from first come first served to designated parking spaces is necessary. Also please know that the lease agreement stated that the $750 gift card would be available within 30-60 days of move-in and yours was picked up within that timeframe. I would be more than happy to address any questions you have regarding the new parking procedures. Please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Parking addendum

I've been here for almost a year and the parking was alright at first, then slowly they tried to organize parking by only Altia renters are allowed to park in a specific area. Now Altia came out with a parking addendum. how is this parking permit going to help all the people who live here? it seems like Altia do not care about their people living here. You can't tell the people who are paying rent here that if they can't find parking they need to go somewhere off site to park. then what is the point of living here? that is kind of stupid isn't it? living in a place with no parking and not organizing everything well. telling people they can't park anywhere but the parking lot, and if they were to park in an area that is not a fire lane, etc. then it will get towed unless the car is in a parking space. unorganized. and unthoughtful of the people living here.
Thank you for feedback regarding the parking concerns you have at Altia. I can assure you that management is taking all steps possible to rectify the parking issues. Our residents are our number one priority and we are doing the best we can to insure that everyone has at least one parking space to come home to. I would be more than happy to address any concerns you have in person. Please feel free to reach out to me directly. Kind Regards,

Disappointed but some nice amenities.

Parking is terrible. Almost a year in now with no fix in place though they seem to be getting a little closer each month. Can constantly hear my upstairs neighbor which was surprising to me considering this is brand new construction. The overall construction quality seems to be fair to poor (caulk not sealed correctly, heaters dont always work, odd black residue left behind on any white surface such as walls, dishes, blinds, etc). Amenities have been reduced and changed since I moved in (shorter clubhouse/pool hours, elimination of water/towels available in the gym). The propane tank for the fire pit never seems to be filled in the pool area. People let their dogs poop in the grass. Kitchen with island is very large for 2bdrm apts in the area and the common area floorplan is very open and nicely laid out. Full size front loading washer/dryer set is very nice.
Ron,
I appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your living experience at Altia. While parking can be a challenge we are hopeful to have a solution here very shortly. I would love to meet with you in person to address some of your concerns with the quality of your home. Please feel free to reach out me at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

I will definitely recommend the representative and this community as I was left feeling very impressed.

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

its too expensive and not enough parking space for all the residents.

Parking is the biggest issue

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Parking is a mess. I'm glad I chose to rent a covered space. For the many that have not it seems to be a constant battle. I have heard outright screaming matches in the evenings over parking. And even though there have been repeated warnings and notices about parking in red zones and non designated areas, it continues to happen daily. This morning as I was walking to my parking spot I even noticed a car parked in the grass across from the AA building. I know that management has tried to better the situation, but I think more needs to be done. Not only would I not recommend people move in to this community, but I would actively discourage it if they own a car.

Parking, rude staff, mis-communication errors.

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Parking, parking, parking! Also rents are too high. Can rent a bigger house for the prices being charged on some units

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Parking here is impossible and the office staff doesn't seem to be making and efforts to correct the problem fully.

Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Difficult to find parking most days, despite only owning one vehicle.

Altia is overpriced, but compared to other apartment communities in the area, we are essentially paying for the extra service that the management provides. For example, when notified of an aggressive panhandler, maintenance and office employees actively pursued the person. Also, the community is clean and management has brought in residents that appear to not cause trouble. I would rather overpay to continue to live in a better community.
