After visiting this community I was so unimpressed. It had garbage in the leasing office area and the shrubs were poorly trimmed. The leasing agent was put out to be helping us and when she did show a apartment it had not been cleaned very well and had odors.

My husband and I lived here for a year, during which the management switched over to Greystar and the apartments became unbearable. For the first couple of months, trash and recycling weren't handled well and there was trash everywhere. This problem still wasn't fixed by the time we left in March, 2013. The recycling bins were constantly overflowing and the trash compacter began smelling and looking much worse than it ever had. There is no way of calling Nickel Creek and getting a call back unless your a potential new tenant. While we were living there, it was impossible for them to answer the phone even though you could walk down to the office and see that they weren't busy. Our dishwasher was incredibly old and didn't clean the dishes. We also had major troubles with the dryer which wouldn't dry the clothes. We were more than happy to finally be moving out of this place, only that has been the biggest struggle. We handed in our keys and were told that our paperwork stating everything was fine would meet us in the mail. Being in such a hurry to be out of WA, we didn't think it would be pertinent to get a copy of the paperwork then and there. Once we got to our home in FL, we called Nickel Creek wondering where the paper work was. We called everyday, never getting through and never getting a call back. Then we were given a letter in the mail from a debt collector stating that we owe Nickel Creek about $200. Our deposit was $200 and we did not leave more than a couple of stains on the carpet. Still no call from Nickel Creek after a month had gone by so we called the Debt collectors and they said we owed that money since we didn't give them our keys, even though we handed them to the associate who had checked our apartment. We have reported Nickel Creek to the Better Business Bureau and Nickel Creek hasn't even responded to them! Our credit score is on the line because Nickel Creek is a shoddy excuse of an apartment and incredibly unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and do not move here.
