Dont move even if it is offered free

I moved in Dec 2011 and my first impression was good based on the way they first presented themselves.
The bottom line, don't even consider it if it is offered to you free for life. I have several reasons but I will mention two:

1- Security: During the last month, all wheels were stolen from two new cars in one month. You can imagine somebody walking in, dismantling the four wheels of a new car and walking out with them without anybody noticing and that happens twice in one month.
I talked to the management and their answer was that it is the police responsibility to find the thieves (which did not happen) and they claim that the wheels should be covered by the car owner insurance anyway as if it is not a big deal. Remember the car owner has to pay the deductible for the wheels and tires.
These were the two incidents that I noticed because they were obvious to the residents, but that makes you wonder what else happened that we didn't know because we did not see.

2- The rent is due by the 1st day of the month, this month the 1st came on a Saturday and I was out of my apartment during the weekend. I could not pay the rent in my way out before the weekend because I lost the bill for charges for water and sewer. Today is Monday Dec. 3d, I called 9 AM to get the figure for the water and include all in one check. The answer was that I have to pay $50 more as a penalty for delayed rent. I dropped the check with the full amount excluding the $50 penalty and they called back to say that they are sending the check back because it was not fully paid and they will apply $10 for each day delay till the full amount is paid.
Now let you decide if you want to move to apartment with a management with this mentality.

Now the management has the right to respond to this review and the coming ones, so I hope they will respond so you can judge for yourself.

I decided to leave as soon as my lease comes for renewal by Feb 28, but I am planning to post more reviews to offer my experience till I leave.
Also, please remember, the review I wrote when first moved was based on Sandy's request which makes you think twice before trusting any review that recommends these apartment because it could be based on request rather than personal opinion.
It is unfortunate that according to the rent agreement I have to stay till Feb 28th, I cant wait to get out of here.
