GREAT PLACE TO LIVE
I am writing this e-mail as I believe that you should be made aware of just how awesome it is to live at Marigold! Yes, not what you were expecting was it!
I moved from out of state, only having a couple of days in which to find a place, as I already had secured employment. Everywhere I went, they wanted so much money up front, and the apartments were not even worth what they were asking in rent. I saw Marigold and thought I would give it a try. It was close to so many things, including my job and that was desirable to me. When I met Elvia, she instantly made me feel at home and at ease. She could tell how stressed I was, and she was calming and soothing to me. Right away I felt an instant good feeling about this apartment complex and its manager. She took her time with me, explaining things, no hard sell here, just genuine caring for another person. She said that she would have an open apartment near her office that would be perfect for me, and it would be ready by the date I was arriving. I looked at another one just like it. It was great! All new appliances, new heating and air conditioning unit, new flooring, new bathroom vanity, and mirror. The walk in closet was so incredible, I loved it and told her I would love to move in.
We talked about the deposits, lease and rules/regulations for a bit. Remember I was still living in out of state and I was coming back in 2 weeks. I put down the necessary deposits and for the next 2 weeks, she kept in regular contact with me, making sure I was alright. And when I was driving down here by myself, she also checked on me to make sure I was safe.
Since living here, a few things had to be fixed, mostly minor or cosmetic and she would always send someone right away to fix it. One time when my a/c was acting up, she had her maintenance person come over and fix it even though it was after 7PM, and he even came back later that evening to make sure that it was still working. Her maintenance crew are the hardest working bunch I have ever seen and I have lived in apartments on and off for many years. They keep the grounds spotless, as some people do like to throw their trash down. Sam is always around to give you a hand on anything you need. Elvia is accessible 24/7 because she cares about her tenants.
I sit back and watch how she interacts with her staff and tenants. I have never seen a more caring person as an apartment manager. People look up to her there and have the utmost respect for her, including myself. She is a Mom to some, an Aunt or a friend, and she is always there if you need to talk. I am all alone here in San Antonio as far as family is concerned, but I made a new family here at Marigold. You all should be very proud to have such a wonderful crew working for you. I know that I feel safe and secure knowing that if something were to happen (God forbid) they would know something was wrong with me and check on me.
