Pros: The units are nice (but need some upgrades), the grounds are clean, the pool is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, and maintenance is very prompt and thorough

Nice Place to Live

I moved here 11 months ago and cannot be happier that I signed a lease with Marquis at Tech Ridge. If not because I'm being transferred outside of Austin, I would be extending my lease for few more years. The apartment is nice inside and outside, they maintain the landscape, and apartment facilities and enforce tenants to keep the ground and units clean. In general, the apartment is quiet, however since my unit is facing the pool area, sometimes the pool can get crowded and people can get loud too around the pool. Also there is an engine that runs the pool's fountain, it can be annoying as the engine is running all day. Maintenance is a breeze. During the span of 11 months, I've never had any major issue with maintenance. So far I only submitted for replacement on toilet seat, smoke detector battery, and kitchen light bulb, in which they completed within few hours after I submitted the request. Leasing office is awesome too! Jade, Katie, and Jaime, they are always helpful and try to assist your needs. On top of that this apartment is very safe. I can walk outside in the dark without feeling uncomfortable and I haven't seen anything that make me feel alarmed. And just to let you know, several times I accidentally left my apartment unlocked, and when I came back nothing happened to the apartment - not saying that I'm hoping for something to happen, but this is just to give you an idea on how safe the apartment complex is. The apartment is conveniently located on Parmer. While it can be quite an effort coming home from work if you need to go down Parmer as there is an epic u-turn you have to deal with just to get to the apartment (I'm hoping they will build an entrance to Center Lake Dr in the near future so you don't have to go down to the red light for u-turn), I still think the apartment is located at the center of everything, though. HEB is across the street, Target, Sears, Petsmart, Starbucks, and a bunch of restaurants are within walking distance. I-35 is very close by and Mopac is only few miles away. In summary I'm a happy resident and I'm sure I will miss it when I move out. The only reason I didn't put 5 star is because during my move-in date, the apartment was not properly cleaned. It seemed they just installed a brand new microwave and debris were on the kitchen counter top that I had to clean them all myself. But, all in all, I highly recommend Marquis at Tech Ridge for your next home.

Could you expand on what you mean about "ideal"? I am relocating from Dallas and this apartment complex is at the top of my list for my apartment hunting trip.

The apartments are nice. The floor plans are good designs as well. But the tenants that have recently moved into the complex are either ruining businesses out of their garage, have more people actually living in one apartment, or generally do not the respect the apartment property.
