I moved in to this apartment as a last resort after accepting a job offer downtown Nashville after unsuccesslly finding an apartment with an immediate opening. The apartment manager was really nice and made everything easy. Upon coming to the property I was a little skeptical; the building are old, no landscape, nothing but concreate surrounds the enitre property. The apartment itself was very clean, well maintained, and in good condition. The back patio and front entry could stand serious updating though. I have had no problems with anything...until new managment took over. For one they are increasing the rent almost $200 and are advertising unrenovated units at the higher rent rate, the renovations are not worth the money they are asking, it's a low end apartment but in a prime location. It's minutes from downtown, very accessible to the I-40, I-24, I-440, and Briley, close to Opry Mills. However, the actual property(and surroundings) makes it not worth it and I'm sure the market value isn't much. Not only that, the new management are quite crooked, have a bad attitude, and apathetic. I've had no problems since living here, it's quiet, nothing bad has happened. But I refuse to pay that amount of money for this apartment. They are adding a fitness center(where the heck are they gonna put it??), a pet park(where are they going to put this?), and a coffee/snack bar(ummmmmm where????). The area behind the complex is owned by a trucking company and is in use and the area across the street is private owned. So unless they are going to buy extra land to build these facilities ground up...there is NOWHERE to put anything extra unless they shorten the number of apartment units and renovated GROUND UP! And the tenants will pay for this. Personally, I would not recommend this complex. Normally, I'm easy going and not hard to please. Seldom complain about anything. Myself along with several other tenants are moving real soon!
