Great to Bad

I lived at Brookfield for 2 years. At first, it was all right. The Ardent Staff were very helpful. However, things changed when BRG came in. It took forever for them to pave the parking lot and a year to add "more" spots. But they put the spots at the wrong end of the complex!!! It also took them 3 times to get the water bills done fairly. There is no snow removal. They need to come up with a way to catch people littering cigarettes and not picking up after their pets, not just bill everyone for it. The only good thing they did was set up a garbage pick up day since they dumpster was never kept up with.

For the price and all the bad, I would not recommend these apartments. When you move out, they will try to charge you for repairs that you didn't even cause.

Stay away

STAY AWAY ! You might think it is an affordable place to live but think again, not worth it. Parking is terrible and don't get me started on the noise from other tenants, no respect for others. Thin walls and not cleaning up after their dogs are some issues. No one abides by the rules mainly because they aren't enforced ! Can't wait until lease is up

Don't be fooled

When we moved in our apartment was brand new, we had 0 neighbors. Then Ardent sold the complex and BRG took over. What felt at first like being a member of a community now felt like more of an inconvenience. Staff was rude, to the point of rolling her eyes when a problem was brought to her. (They have since replaced her) the walls are paper thin , windows and doors leak cold air like a sieve, so your bills are outrageous. No parking. None. God Forbid if you have company. They are supposed to park at the office and make the trek to your apartment. My 80 year old disabled father didn't appreciate that.

Parking - Forget About It

This was a nice place to live. Was being the operative word. Could of lived with the thin walls, and consequently high heating and cooling bills. Was managed by Ardent and they communicated community issues regularly. New management, BRG, really seem to dislike the tenants as they either ignore you or treat you as if you were something they found on the bottom of their shoe. Parking is perhaps the worst part of living here. Snow removal is not done and that means that the management does not even clean snow/ice from the trash compactor. Good luck getting rid of your trash as it can be an adventure.
If you are handicapped or require permit parking - yes there are spaces here for you. Problem is that everyone else parks in the slot. No they do not have permits, but it is the only place for them to park in the 43123 zip code.
Better value can be found. Will be leaving when my lease is up and that can be taken to the bank.
i agree leaving when my lease is up also. not worth the money for all the headaches and management always skirts around issues and does nothing about it.

BEWARE

This used to be a great Affordable place to live besides the cheaply built apartments and no parking issues, which I could deal with because of the great prices and the old management Ardent Communities were friendly and professional and were working on fixing the parking situation. Now that The new management BRG Apartments took over. The new management are not friendly or professional. They have Increased the rent we have no parking what so ever, so I don't see how they even felt that was even fair to do. They are just money hungry and they are not trying to resolve the parking issues at all just broken promises!!! All they did was increased the rent lol now these Apartments are cheaply Built overpriced Apartments with horrible management no parking, no snow removal and the list goes on. The only good people left here is maintenance man which was the same man we had when Ardent community still owned this place imagine that. Beware do not RENT here at Brookfield Village 1950 sandy lake dr grove city, ohio 43123 Horrible management and Absolutely horrible place to live don't your time or money.

Maintenance Is Good But The Office Staff Is Not

I loved this apartment when I first moved in almost a year ago. I don't have a patio but some of the patios offer excellent views. My place has a huge bathroom and closet which is a plus. The parking situation is awful and they havent removed the snow once this year. Since BRG bought this community it has really went down hill. The office staff used to be very personable and easy to work with. The present office staff does not appear to enjoy their job and do not seem very professional in their demeanor. I have had a handful of experiences with them and they are ALWAYS in a bad mood. As far as the maintenance I have no complaints. They have always been respectful and done a good job with some of my previous work orders. I moved here to be closer to family but do not think I will stay at this location once the lease is up.

You can do better

Apartments are overpriced, walls are thin , staff is unfriendly and act bored when you go to them. Absolutely no snow removal and no parking!! We will be leaving when our lease is up.

Ignorant Parking situation

I've been with this complex for almost a year now. My main complaint is there is NO WHERE to park, most of us have to park in the grass. This morning we wake up to notices saying our cars will be towed if we don't move them. I'm VERY curious as to WHERE you would like us to park. If this issue isn't resolved I can see half the people not renewing their leases. Also the walls are insanely thin, I can hear my neighbors phone vibrate. I do not like this new management company that took over, completely ignorant.

Great!

I absolutely love this new complex! The management is super nice and everything is very well organized. However, I gave this complex a 4 star mainly for the fact that I don't think they took parking into consideration when the plans were drawn. There is absolutely not enough parking. If you want to have company over or if one of your neighbors does then forget about finding somewhere to park that is even remotely close to your apartment. It's not a deal breaker, just super annoying. Other than that I have no complaints!
