Fine if you're 21 & irresponsible
I've lived here for 2 years because the rent is cheaper than the other lofts in the area and it's near a lot of really great things to do. That said, I've wanted to move out pretty much since the first day.
This is a pet-friendly building, which would be great except that it's more of a bark-friendly building. The walls between the apartments are paper thin, so enjoy hearing those yappy, neglected dogs on both sides of you all morning and night. And don't think you won't step in dog feces at least once a day while walking on the property - although there are animal waste stations for people to use to clean up after themselves, it certainly doesn't happen.
I'm in my 20s and still like to party, but unlike the residents who treat this building like a dorm, I keep it to the weekends and outside of the building. Nearly every Saturday and Sunday (and often mid-week) we wake up to solo cups and spills scattered in the hallway. Most nights someone next to me or down the hall decides to blast music and invite over 25 people to party in their unit, so bass-thumping and screeching drunks can be heard until 3 am.
I'd say half of the residents are respectful, quiet, and considerate. The other half are immature and inconsiderate, and ruin it for the rest of us. Other than those people, the other big problem is that the management is non-effective. The first building manager was amazing, attentive, and kept this place running much better than the current manager, who will literally do nothing (or says they're "working on it") when you report a problem or need help. It's ridiculous, and I can't believe Dominium still employs that person.
If you have weird work hours, a messy loud dog, and don't mind constant noise, by all means rent here. Otherwise, pay a little more at another building and say far, far away from Buzza.
