We've been living here at Jamestown for almost 3 yrs now. Overall I am happy and very pleased. When the Club house was open during pool season, the work out room it rocks. Now though there is a hang up with the card keys so we can't use the work out room 24/7. Overall, yes, I can recommend this place, HIGHLY! Its friendly, beautiful, nice, clean. The Fenced in backyard is a God send, perfect for my elderly Cats to roam in. Also an abundance of Squirrels, Birds, Chipmunks, wild life over all. I've called this place Paradise many times.

I have lived here for almost a year now, and my experience has been wonderful! I see some negative reviews, but that must have been previous management. The staff here is very attentive and friendly. I picked this place because I have a large Golden Retriever, and this place is so accommodating and animal friendly. Bring your dog by the office anytime and get a treat for your pup. The fenced in grass/patio area is perfect when I can't walk him, and I love having the small dog park to let him off his leash.

My unit is not updated (granite counters & stainless steal), but considering that it is still very nice and well kept. My only complaint would be that they seemed to have cut down on maintenance men. They used to respond to calls/issues the same day or at least within 24 hours, but lately it has been a week or more before I hear from them. They are, however, outside every single morning cleaning the grounds. It stays very clean, and the landscaping is always beautiful

They just finished the new club house, and it's so cool! it has an outdoor fireplace, pool, hot tub and a 24 hour gym. It's all new and top of the line décor!

I would recommend moving to this place any day! You're right in the heart of St. Matthews, the staff here is great and what other apartment has amenities like a fenced in back yard?

Jamestown Is a horrible place to live, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was so excited to move in, everything seemed perfect when I put in an application. From day one of moving into the apartment, If not before ( They would not let me see the unit until the day I moved in) I have had nothing but problems. First, the unit I was supposed to move in to was the wrong size I applied for. It was noticeably much small and had no washer/ dryer hook ups. The office acted like they didn't know anything about it but quickly put me in a correct sized unit (larger). However, this larger unit was not ready, the carpets were not cleaned, and the previous tenant had literally just moved out! They had owned a pet, and pet hair is Everywhere! My son is very allergic to cats. Second, when applying for Jamestown one of the features is the garbage is right out in your patio. That's not the case, If you want a garbage, you have to buy your own, but to take the garbage to the dumpster you have to put it in your car and drive the trash to the dumpster... Third problem, I live at the bottom of a hill and the water drains are on the other side of the street at the top of the hill..... So when it rains the whole front of my town house and car is flooded because the drains are on the wrong side of the street.... last night my kitchen and living room completely flooded with water. I called maintenance at 6 am. At 5.30pm that afternoon no one had yet come to see the problem. When I called the front office the lady argued with me saying someone already came and that I had told them to leave because there was no flood. She kept wanting to arguing when I told her they must have gone to the wrong place. Anyway, now they have to replace all the carpet. I have only lived here a bit over a month and can't wait to move out already.

I have lived at Jamestown for 3 years now. When I first started living here I let the staff know I was on disability and that I could not pay my rent until the 5th of each month. Everything was okay until new management came in and changed things. I now have to pay my rent by the 4th or get charged a $50.00 dollar late fee. I adjusted to this change by putting the rent on my credit card, which I hate to do! Also, the pool has not been open since I’ve lived here. My rent has increased every year and it seems that the gas charges that they tack onto my rent each month seem to be increasing each month. NOW, the final straw is that Jamestown has canceled trash pick-up. Like I said, I’m on disability and can't drag my trash half a mile away to the trash bin. I wrote the management a letter explaining to them why I needed help with my trash. It took 4 days before it was picked up, and even then they left some of it in the can. It s been a month now and the trash behind my townhouse is piled up again and stinks bad!!! I have called 2 times and left messages about it. I have grandchildren and there are dirty diapers baking in the sun right outside my back door. I will be leaving when my lease runs out!!!
