Honestly, just take outdated dorm rooms use a spray gun to paint the walls and throw the cheapest pieces of granite on a countertop = Ridgebrook Court Apartments. The walls are incredibly thin. I can hear everything. Great for DeKalb (whatever that means) not for anyone looking for a quiet place to live.

I've lived here for a few months and have had a great experience.  The apartments are brand new and everything works fine in my apartment.  It's nice to have a gated building and being a single girl it makes me feel safe.  Def recommend this place.

I have lived at Ridgebrook Court since the day they opened and I'm so happy with my decision.  I have always been treated with respect and they have fixed any apartment issues I've had quickly.  My last apartment was awful and the management company couldn't care less about me.  This past year and a half has been great and I'd recommend it to any people moving out of the dorms.  By far the nicest apts in DeKalb.

I've paid this management company, by personal check, four times. They have claimed to have not received my payment four times. It's a problem of basic office clerking skills. Nobody has them in this company. They hire temps, each time I'm in the office there are new faces. Just do your homework when about to rent. Ridgebrook has changed management three times. RED FLAG.

The building flooded because the renovators forgot to clean out the piping that leads to the city sewers. All the basement tenants were forced to stay at hotel. Luckily I was on the top floor. 

Stay away from this company.

I've had an excellent experience so far at Ridgebrook Court. I needed a place and I needed it quickly and the management office was able to set me up with a brand new apartment. They all seemed very nice and helpful when I had questions and they were even able to match me up with a roommate to cut costs down. So far so good and I'd highly recommend this place after living in the standard dumps that over saturate DeKalb.

i read the other review about ridgebrook and they summed it up very accurately. the management is not very helpful when you call in for repair. they dont really care at all about anything you say or request but they pretend like they do. i had to go to walmart and buy stuff to fix my apartment up when it was broken in the first place and management would not fix it. i have been disrespected multiple times and i treat everyone with respect regardless. water leaks through the floor into my carpet on rainy days and bugs (spiders and earwigs) are coming in through the air conditioning units and they said "its not my problem."

These apartments are not worth the price. Something is always breaking or going out. Power for some reason always goes out throughout the building. The floors creek and things fall off. The management is very poor. They always misinform the tenants about many things and end up accusing the tenant of the fault. They have lost my rent check three times and accused me for not paying the rent and send me eviction notices, but they seem to have no problems taking the money out of my account. When you try to contact them they either take forever to respond or stop responding and never answer your question. This place is terrible, and of course I've tried to break my lease and obviously no luck. Don't get scammed into living there!!
