Shiny on the outside, Evil on the inside ... Kinda like the Devil

The only reason I renewed my lease was that I could not afford to move at the time. I like the location, and the complex itself is attractive if you don't look too close, but the issues that have had customer service components have been continuous.

During a storm, a large branch from a tree on property fell on my car (a soft-top convertable# and it was crushed. Over $3000 of damage. I called the emergency number around 11pm and spoke with someone who told me there was no one on duty. No one could be reached by phone. I would have to wait until the office opened the next morning. The fallen branch was leaning on a power line, so I called the police. I asked the manager to have corporate call me to discuss my options. That never happened. The manager told me, "If they did not call, then there is nothing we can do." This is a known incident in our parking lot. It even happened again twice last week. Luckily both branches missed parked vehicles, though not by much.

I am not receiving good customer service here. Several previously-existing stains came up through my carpet after I moved in, and I was told it would not be cleaned unless I signed a lease renewal contract. I has discounted rent because of where I work as a teacher. $75 off my monthly rent. That was discontinued #without discussion# for my new lease, resulting in an unexpected rent increase.

The trash bins overflowing every week I have just accepted. The poorly tended grounds are no big deal. I just keep the blinds closed. The glass from my car window is still there three months later.

They still haven't fixed the carpet damage, my bathtub is still stained from work they did #they plan to charge me for the stain#, they waited until the summer to do repairs on the pool #which has been closed for most of June#, and there is never an apology. Never a plan. Never an acknowledgement that the employees need to facilitate the corrective actions.

DO NOT move in expecting them to be all smiles. They will be... right up until you sign the lease.
