Horrible customer service.

The office management staff is a joke. The two front desk leasing girls are nice for the most part but they can only do so much. Beware of the manager, her level of customer service is terrible. She speaks to you as if you are an idiot. We were going to rent there, but after a confrontation with Heather and dealing with her extremely unprofessional attitude, we decided we'd rather not live at a place where a company allows a person like that to manage. Good luck to those that do rent.

Enjoying my apartment.

I moved in to The Courtney at Bay Pines at the start of the year and so far my experience has been delightful. I am on the first floor and chose this floor specifically because although yes there are elevators I just find the first floor to be very convenient. I chose this property due to their strict policies on background checks as well as how beautiful the complex is. Yes, I can hear when my neighbors are busy about in their apartment above me but it's never something that's been an issue as of yet. I'm sure depending who is living above you would be the deciding factor on if it's tolerable noise or a nuisance.

I've only dealt with the office staff during application and move in, and I'm never needed maintenance so I can't speak an opinion on that, from my experience with the office staff, I'd say they were professional and friendly. I have used the pool only once or twice just due to the fact I'm not a pool person, the gym on the other hand I frequent daily and I love that it opens at 5:00am as I'm an early riser. Overall I enjoy living on this complex and I do recommended checking it out for yourself.

Great Decision!

My husband and I, along with our big boy Sammie, who is a Great Dane a little over 2 years old, just moved into our two bedroom apartment about 2 and half months ago. So far we love the complex and the people we have come across are very friendly, the pool area is absolutely gorgeous, plus I love the idea that it’s salt water! I normally work evenings so when I normally use the pool between 11am – 3pm and there’s never anybody out there so it’s very nice and relaxing. I’ve used the pool on Saturdays as well which as can be expected is busier than the week days but it was the same with my last complex so it doesn’t bother me. We moved from California, sight unseen, and the office staff was very helpful in assisting us with all our needs and the apartments and grounds were just like the pictures. Very beautiful. We also love how close we are to the beach!

Lovely complex.

I moved in a year ago when my building was first opened from construction, originally I signed a 12 month lease, and I just renewed my lease for another 15 months. I've lived in many apartment complexes in my years some luxury and some not, but I have to say this property has been my favorite so far. Now true, as with all complexes, there are some minor set backs but nothing major, parking is a little tight up front but I live in a back building so I have no issues, also the pool on the weekends can get full but so far I've never had an issue finding a chair, plus Madeira Beach is not even 5 minutes down the street if I want to head there on a Saturday. Overall I think it's a great place for the price.

Keep looking!

1.) The apartment quality doesn't match the price... I swear the models have better quality fixtures than what actually gets rented out.

2.) The pool area is truly gorgeous but.... note the number of apartments to the size of the pool ... (The beach isn't that close) Same with the gym & computer area.

3.) Parking.... I would seriously consider coming back after hours, especially on the weekend...you be the judge!

4.) The staff is only willing to review or discuss the lease when it benefits them, otherwise you are at their mercy.

5.) Being neighborly has taken on a whole new meaning. The walls are so thin, I know exactly when my neighbors are using the bathroom, doing the naughty or walking around like 2 ton gorillas at 2 am (I'm one of the fortunate who rented a middle unit, so I get it from all sides).

My only recommendation for the future renters who ignore this post would be a decent pair of ear plugs & a bicycle. I would've listed my name but I'm still waiting on my security deposit.
I am sorry to see such a negative comment but we have had nothing but a great experience so far. Maybe this is because we have lived in apartments for the last 5 years and are used to this style of living but its not for everyone.
1) the apartment fixtures, cabinets, countertops, flooring, everything was the same online and in person as what our apartment came with.
2) Its an apartment complex, there are times the pool will be full but the beach is close... get a GPS its only 1 mile!!!! In fact, my husband and I ride our bikes over to watch the sunset at least 2x a week.
3) I asked this question when applying and the staff was upfront and honest that certain buildings had more limited parking than others, so I went with the building with more parking. Sure not every night when I come home from work do I get a parking space in front of my apartment but it never hurts anyone to walk a few extra steps for a space that is 5 down from my apartment.
4) I came from Cali and everything was done via phone and email. There were times that they were not available but they promptly returned my call. Since being here there has always been someone in the office willing to assist my husband and I.
5) ITS AN APARTMENT COMPLEX! This is why we chose to take a top floor. As for our neighbors beside us, we have yet to hear them.

My husband and I both recommend this complex to anyone looking in this area.

Nice place.

Just moved in a little over five months ago and so far so good. The office staff that I've dealt with has been very nice which I greatly appreciate considering my last apartment complex office was horrible! ...I haven't used much of the extras like gym and whatnot just due to my crazy work schedule but now that it's warming up again I'm hoping to get some pool time in. Overal its a nice little area plus I never lived at an apartment complex that had a huge firepit before so that's pretty neat.

I love my apartment and my view.

Throughout the years I have lived in many different places both renting and owning, some have been wonderful and some not so much. I stumbled upon this property when I was being transferred to the area for employment and I asked the HR director for recommendations for the area as I was not from here. I first viewed the property in early January 2014 when it was still under construction and there wasn't an actual office yet, they were using an apartment as their office and model. The lady inside introduced herself and offered to show me around that unit since they were still too new and didn't have models yet. I was looking well in advance as my employment date wouldn't be until a few months from when I was actually looking and they informed me that they were currently renting for the units still under construction if I'd like to apply.

I declined, though I loved what was already here and I adored the office/model they were able to show me, I'm just the type of person that has to see the unit or something similar to what I'll be renting first. I informed the young lady that I'd keep in touch as it got closer to my move date and I had a set starting date for the transfer with my company. Fast forward three months...I called the property around March of 2014 and asked if they had any available units as my transfer date was moved up unexpectedly and I needed a place in less than a week. I asked the young lady on the phone if they would be able to show me a specific unit I was interested in as I was flying into town from Ohio the next day and would stop by. The woman was extremely helpful and calmed my nerves since everything was now rushed due to my company wanting me to start earlier than anticipated. She informed me that since the exact unit I'd go into was not released from construction yet, she would not be able to show me that unit so she offered to send me pictures of the apartments view to my Email so therefore I'd know what I'd be looking at from my apartment and she'd show me a model of the same layout that was already finished. She also informed me that since I was in need of an apartment quick that if I wanted to go ahead and apply online she could go ahead and get my application process started, this way it'd take one less thing off my "to do list." As I previously stated, I'm normally not one to jump the gun and select something without first seeing it, but she was so helpful and willing to go the extra mile for me that I felt inclined to go ahead and apply.

When I arrived at the property again for the second time, I entered into the main office as it was now finished, upon entering I was greeted immediately, I was thrilled that the lady I spoke to on the phone was also the same person that was in the office when I arrived. She offered to show me around all the finished extras like the pool and so forth but I stated it was alright that I could check them out later since I was in a time crunch and asked to go straight to the apartment. When I entered the model I fell in love instantly for it definitely fit with my style and personality, plus it meant I didn't have to downsize from my king bed (finding an apartment that can accommodate a king size bedroom set is near impossible in this area it seems) which made me extremely happy.

The application process was quick I knew my answer the next day and she even informed me that the apartment would be ready earlier than expected and if I'd like to take it earlier I could, this was good news since I was staying in a hotel. I ended up moving in two days later, moving in was a breeze, there were a few things that needed attention which could be expected since it was a brand new apartment, I informed the office and the maintenance guy was out the next morning. Overall I'm completely satisfied with my apartment, I'm on the top floor so I can't speak for noise as the previous person commented, however I can mention that I have yet to hear my side neighbors to each side of me. I've been here almost year now in March and I honestly have not run into any major problems or issues that weren't quickly addressed by the staff. I will give one tip though, if you like being close to everything, I'd recommend living in the clubhouse building. The downstairs area is open until 10:00 pm so it's really nice to just walk downstairs or take the elevator when I'm being lazy and not have to walk across the property like the people in the back of the property do.

Mixed review

My family and I moved into the Courtney at Bay Pines less than a week ago. The property is well maintained, the people are quite friendly as a whole, and the "new" buildings are aesthetically pleasing. Then there is the negative - The buildings are made very cheaply. I know within a few feet of the exact location of my upstairs neighbor. Add into this that the tenants have an odd schedule; they typically stay up and walk around until around 3-4am. Try sleeping with a large man walking on a floor directly above your head. This is my obvious and biggest issue with the property. Another smaller problem is hard for the property management to control. Some people allow their dogs to "go" anywhere. One man allowed his dog to urinate in the landscaping just a few feet from my patio. I will say that the majority of the people I've witnessed walking their dogs do, in fact, clean up after them, but this lack of common courtesy would be a problem for many people who might rent here.

The staff have been very friendly and willing to help as much as possible thus far. I will be moving to another unit (on the top floor) and will ensure that my family is as courteous as possible to my downstairs neighbors.

More to come later??

Terrible place to live

Apartments are advertised as luxury however very poor quality... Over priced ... They overcharge for EVERYTHING! The Maintnence takes forever and is done poorly as well. Very noisy to live there and overall was the worst choice of any place I have ever lived. Lots of hidden charges and problems!!

Great for dog owners

and not so great if you don't. Some dog owners often let their pets use the bathroom anywhere some are good at going to the designated place. Nice dog park....some owners don't leash their dogs...

The office needs an email system, have the facilities like pool, fitness center, pool table, and computer room open after 6pm since many residents don't get home until then.

They say the place is less than 1/2 full, but parking is already an issue.

You hear a lot of noise from the residents on the floor above.

The gates aren't very resident friendly or effective.

The feeling of many is not to renew renting at the end of the year.
Most of the office staff are helpful and nice.
Very misguiding apartment complex!
Since I've been living here the pool table area, business center and gym remain open well past 6:00pm. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's open till 10:00pm and the gym I think is open later than that. I myself have been working out in gym past 10:00pm before and people were using their key cards to get in the side door.
